1 Sustaining Member Application ASPRS: The Imaging & Geospatial Information Society Our ASPRS sustaining membership has been very valuable to SAIC, because ASPRS provides a unique and open forum for exchange of information between government, academia, and industry. -SAIC

2 Member Benefits Sustaining Member Profile A 300-word introductory profile of your company and logo will appear in the first available issue of Photogrammetric Engineering & Remote Sensing (PE&RS ) as well as a continuous monthly listing of your company and or web site address in both the print and online versions of the journal. You will receive a Sustaining Member certificate. Listing in the Resource Directory An updated description of your company with logo will be profiled in the Resource Directory that is posted annually on the ASPRS website. Your company products, services and geographic locations will be listed on the ASPRS web site. The announcement of the annual updated profile is included in PE&RS, with a hotlink for easy searches by anyone interested in obtaining your company s products and/or services. Sustaining Member Contacts/ Voting Membership All Sustaining Member Contacts, including the Primary contact, listed on the Sustaining Member Application are entitled to receive the same benefits as an Individual Active Membership. Benefits include full voting rights, monthly copies of PE&RS, and discounts for ASPRS conferences, workshops, webinars, and publications. The number of Sustaining Member Contacts depends upon the size of the company/ agency. Companies with 11+ employees are entitled to designate four additional individuals as Sustaining Member Contacts (total of 5), while companies with 10 or fewer employees may designate two additional individual as a Sustaining Member Contact (total of 3). In both cases the additional individual must be a Young Professional under the age of 35. Professional Certification The Active Sustaining Member Contact and additional employees listed on the Sustaining Member Application may receive the membership rate for the Professional Certification application fee (a savings of $125 per application). Reduced Advertising Rates Receive discounts on display ads and limited free Classified Ad space in the ASPRS journal, PE&RS, read by 6,500 members and subscribers worldwide each month. ASPRS Web Site Advertisements Reach thousands of new potential customers by placing your advertisement on the ASPRS web site. The web site contains over 175 pages of information on the Society, new publications, upcoming conferences, professional certification, and numerous industry-related web links. ASPRS Sustaining Members receive a 15% discount on web site advertisements. Employment Opportunities Sustaining Member companies may take advantage of discounts on blast s sent to all ASPRS members relating to employment opportunities within the company. Preferential Treatment and Exhibit Space Discounts ASPRS Sustaining Members receive a discount on exhibit booth space rental at ASPRS conferences. Sponsored Memberships Demonstrate your company s commitment to your employees continuing education and awareness of current issues in geospatial technology by sponsoring your employees through the ASPRS Sponsored Membership program. Your sponsored employees will receive monthly online access to the complete version of PE&RS, as well as member discounts on ASPRS publications, Certification Application fees, and conference/webinar registration. These discounts apply to employees at multiple locations but are subject to single invoicing per Sustaining Member with a list of employees to be sponsored, plus their contact information. More than 100 employees...50% off the Active Member dues employee...33% off the Active Member dues employees...25% off the Active Member dues This offer does not apply to companies with fewer than 10 employees. 3 Resource Listing One of the many benefits of being an ASPRS Sustaining Member is having your corporate description included free of charge in the ASPRS Resource Directory. This description should include the products and services offered and the geographic regions your company serves. As an added benefit, your company s description will be listed on the ASPRS web site and in monthly issues of PE&RS and will include a free link, so customers looking for a particular product or service can contact you immediately. Please provide us with a 300-word description of your company profile in addition to a list of your products and services. Guidelines To have your company s description appear in the Resource Directory, ASPRS must receive all materials electronically. Descriptions are limited to 300 words. ASPRS reserves the right to edit for length and style. Please submit all materials as follows: Corporate Descriptions All disks/files should be formatted for PC. Acceptable file formats are: Rich Text Format (RTF), Text Only (ASCII), and Word Documents. A hardcopy of your company description must be sent with this form. Logo/Photo All disks/files should be formatted for PC. Acceptable file formats are: TIFF or EPS (for printed use) and JPEG (for web site use). High resolution files are recommended, 300 dpi for photos and 600 dpi for text and line art. Two versions of the file may be sent, including one b&w (for print) and one color (for the web). Do not embed the logo in a text document. Other Geographic Locations You may list up to five branch offices that will be posted on our website. File Names A separate digital file should be submitted for each type of information listed above (Corporate Description, Logo/ Photo, and Other Geographic Locations). DO NOT EMBED LOGOS in text files. Keep branch office listings in a separate file from the corporate description. Each file name should reflect the name of your company/organization. Be sure the file s extension reflects its file type (e.g..doc,.tif,.jpg). Please number multiple files. EXAMPLE: company 1.doc (Corporate Description); company 2.tif (Logo/photo); company 3.doc (Branch Offices). This form must be submitted along with your Sustaining Member dues payment in order for your corporate description to appear in the Resource Directory. 4 Membership Categories Sustaining Member A Sustaining Member shall be an organization with an interest in the objectives of the Society and wishing to provide financial support toward the work of the Society. Such members shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Society. Sustaining Members are entitled to designate an individual as a Primary Contact/Voting Member, who has the same benefits and rights as an Individual Active Member, and all other individuals who are listed under the company membership will also receive the same member benefits as the Primary Contact including full voting rights and subscription to PE&RS. Multiple Sustaining Member A multiple Sustaining Member shall be an organization (parent company with one or more subsidiaries) with an interest in the objectives of the Society, wishing to provide financial support toward the work of the Society, and desirous of having its subsidiaries directly and individually identified with the Society at a reduced dues rate. The parent company must be a Sustaining Member of the Society in order for any of its subsidiaries to take advantage of the reduced dues rate. The parent company must submit an application and the appropriate dues payment on behalf of its subsidiaries. The parent company and its subsidiaries joining under this category, shall have the same rights and privileges as a regular Sustaining Member and shall at all times be referred to by the Society as a Sustaining Member. Parent membership qualifies for up to five (5) subscriptions to PE&RS. Each subsidiary qualifies for up to three (3) subscriptions to PE&RS. Note: A subsidiary may not join ASPRS separately at the reduced dues rate, but may join as a Sustaining Member at the regular Sustaining Member dues rate if it so desires. Please complete a separate application form for each subsidiary member joining under the parent company s membership. Renewal date is based on the anniversary date of the month your company joined. ASPRS dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution for federal tax purposes, but may be deductible as a business expense. Please check with your tax preparer. ASPRS is a 501C(3) organization.
