Introduction of Speakers: Jonathan Rothman, Director Data Management Emergency Medical Associates 20 years experience focused on improving healthcare delivery and technology in the US in multiple inpatient and outpatient settings. In 1991, Mr. Rothman obtained an MBA in Risk Management from Temple University in Philadelphia and over the last 10+ years has served as the Director of Data Management for Emergency Medical Associates (EMA), a Group Practice of more than 300 Emergency Department physicians who treat over 850,000 patients a year. 8 Welcome to the Webinar! Introduction of Speakers: Brenda Mollohan, MHA, JD 17 years of healthcare operational and financial consulting experience. Her primary focus has been on efforts that improve operational efficiency, customer service and financial performance by optimizing the interaction amongst people, processes and technology. Her areas of expertise include clinical and corporate performance measurement, performance metric strategy, data and process modeling, process and quality improvement, and database design. Brenda is a licensed attorney in the State of Ohio and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Systems Engineering & a Master of Health Administration from The Ohio State University and a Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School. 15 Real life example - External New Jersey's Health Care Premiums Rose 5.5 Times Faster than Earnings from There were 119 million emergency room visits in 2006, up 36 percent over the last 10 years. Emergency rooms are crammed across the country--and what's happening in New Jersey is a perfect example.
