2 1. Company Profile In 1997 A K Khan Telecom Ltd. (AKTL) was formed as the distribution operations for the telecommunications service provider AKTel, currently known as Robi. Since then AKTL has been an industry leader and developed an unique offering of technology integration for businesses to achieve higher operational efficiency. Meet the Team Chairman For over 35 years, A K Shamsuddin Khan has managed a plethora of companies for AKK ranging from deep sea fishing to industrial manufacturing to telecommunications. He also serves as Chairman of A K Khan Foundation, a non-profit social welfare organisation supporting the improvement of health and education services. Among numerous philanthropic ventures he founded A K Khan Healthcare Trust to make a positive impact in Bangladesh s healthcare industry by developing nurses to international standards. He has held numerous diplomatic, Chairman and executive committee roles for the country and industry. Managing Director Abul Kasem Khan is the Managing Director of AKTL and Director of Corporate Investment of AKK. He is the current President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) and also served as President in He has held Directorships and executive committee roles at Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FBCCI), Dhaka Stock Exchange and Dhaka Water Supply & Sewage Authority (WASA) and many others. We offer voice, broadband internet, data, video, wireless, and cloud services to business customers across our local fibre-based networks. 5 A. Connectivity AKTL has two ISP business units, AKNet which caters to all our Dhaka based clients, and Infocom which does so for our Chittagong based clients.
