LTE roll-outs and expansions drove SDP revenue growth in emerging markets. Virtualised SDPs were trialled and there were some commercial deployments. vtas for VoLTE/VoWi-Fi and vcdn for multi-screen video were the leading use cases, followed by vhss. 4 Dashboard: Service delivery platform professional services revenue market shares KEY MARKET DEVELOPMENTS IN 2015 The SDP professional services market is highly fragmented the top-six vendors accounted for 38% of total revenue in Major NEPs and IT vendors lead the SDP professional services market because they typically deliver their own and ecosystem partners SDP solutions through their professional services organisations. Accenture is the only consulting and systems integration (C&SI) vendor featured in the top six. DELIVERY MODEL DEVELOPMENTS IN 2015 Unified communications, video SDP and identity management are major drivers of SaaS and cloud-based hosted managed services spending. System integration and other professional services (business and design consulting and custom development) account for the major portion of SDP professional services. SDP outsourcing is typically as part of larger outsourcing contracts such as those for core networks/ims and video operations. 6 About the author Gorkem Yigit (Analyst) is the lead analyst for the Service Delivery Platforms programme and a contributor to the Software-Controlled Networking and Network Orchestration programmes, focusing on producing market share, forecast and research collateral. He started his career in the telecoms industry with a graduate role at a leading telecoms operator, before joining Analysys Mason in late He has published research on NFV/SDN services business cases, identity management in the digital economy, and has been a key part of major consulting projects including Telco Cloud Index and IPTV/OTT procurement.
