2 NavLogix simplifies fleet management No matter what kind of fleet you re responsible for, you ll find NavLogix can help you enhance efficiency, reduce costs, improve customer service and increase security. Service vehicles With NavLogix, you can respond more quickly to your customers. Should a customer call with an urgent service request, simply enter the customer s address, and NavLogix will show you the nearest available driver. You can also use NavLogix to give customers an update on a driver s location, along with an accurate estimated arrival time. Heavy equipment Theft is a major problem for bulldozers, dump trucks and other heavy equipment that may be parked overnight at a job site. With NavLogix, you can configure the system to send you an alert if a vehicle is moved from its parked location with the ignition off. Realtime position updates also make it easier to track down any stolen asset. Motor coaches, taxis and limos NavLogix helps ensure your fleet is working for you. Exception reports make it easy to identify unauthorized use of your vehicles, such as afterhours moonlighting or extended stops between jobs. School buses Safety and security are especially important for school bus fleets. With NavLogix, you can configure alerts to track buses as they arrive at specific points such as bus stops and schools along their routes. You can also create a Geo- Fence perimeter with alerts to notify you if a bus leaves its school district boundary. Speed alerts tell you if a bus exceeds a preset speed. On the road, GPS satellites communicate with the onboard unit to determine the vehicle s location, speed and direction in real time. The onboard unit uses cellular communications to transmit the vehicle information to a hosted web server. Usually, the unit transmits every five minutes when the ignition is on, but you can set the interval to whatever you want. 5 an if a vehicle exceeds 65 mph for more than 90 seconds or sits idling for more than 15 minutes. You set the alert criteria to fit your fleet operations. Information on your fleet is hosted on a secure web server. That means you can monitor and manage your fleet anywhere you have Internet access. At a glance, you can locate vehicles and drivers.
