COMMUNITY EDITION Jaspersoft s releases are freely available. Everyone is free to download the binary distributions, source code, samples, and documentation that accompany the release software. However, it does not contain the additional functionality found in commercial editions. 2 EMBEDDABLE WITH DISTRIBUTION RIGHTS Jaspersoft software is built to be embedded in other applications. TIBCO offers fleible licensing terms to meet the needs of most third-party developers. When integrated with or embedded into another product, Jaspersoft software can be redistributed (1) under the terms of the GNU Open Source General Public License (GPL) or (2) under commercial terms for third-party profit. For OEMs, ISVs, and For-Profit Developers Jaspersoft OEM licensing is an affordable and full-featured option for OEMs, ISVs, and for-profit developers who want to include etensive reporting, analysis, and other BI capabilities in their applications. End-User Licensing Jaspersoft commercial end user license agreements (EULA) grant the right to use but not redistribute Jaspersoft commercial edition software. If you want to copy, share, or redistribute commercial edition software, you must obtain an OEM license. COMMUNITY EDITION For Open Source Developers Jaspersoft Edition software is covered by the GNU Affero GPL or Lesser General Public License (LGPL), for which the right to freely use, modify, and redistribute software is fundamental. Those who abide by it can do whatever they wish with Jaspersoft release software for their own organization s use. If you release modifications or embed Jaspersoft release software in a publicly distributed application, you may be obligated to contribute your entire work to the open source community under the GNU AGPL. This means that the editions roll up enhancements into fewer releases throughout the year. Managed release cycles allow customers to plan and allocate resources for upgrades in advance, reduce the overall effort required to update software, and can minimize risk when deploying changes into production systems. COMMUNITY Jaspersoft open source projects are frequently updated. Individuals, software developers, and organizations that prefer software updates as soon as they re available may prefer the release. Commercial edition subscribers can also take advantage of frequent version releases. New software features can be evaluated in test environments early, potentially reducing the testing and evaluation period when the commercial editions become available. 5 SUPPORT GUARANTEES TIBCO provides a full range of support services for both community and commercial edition software: Jaspersoft commercial products are bundled with a commercial license and an annual support subscription. Commercial edition software is supported for a minimum period of twelve (12) months after the release of the net major release. This etended support helps ensure you can stabilize and maintain the system. COMMUNITY -based support is freely available to everyone through Jaspersoft forums.

4 DATASHEET 4 6 LEGAL MATTERS: WARRANTIES AND INDEMNIFICATION Warranties and indemnification are of great concern to large organizations, though individuals may also have an interest in these legal protections. Organizations and individuals should always review software license agreements and assess their tolerance for risk (legal and operational) as part of the evaluation process. Jaspersoft commercial licenses provide warranties epected of commercial software as well as indemnification, another significant benefit not offered by open source licenses. TIBCO will indemnify (make free from harm) the user of Jaspersoft software if a third-party patent holder claims that Jaspersoft infringes intellectual property rights. Be sure to review the TIBCO terms and conditions for details. COMMUNITY EDITION Jaspersoft Edition products are licensed under the GNU LGPL v3 or Affero GPL v3. GNU Affero open source licenses do not provide protection (indemnification) against claims of intellectual property infringement and do not provide warranties. The software is provided as-is.
