3 City Facts The City of Manhattan Beach Population of 35, square miles, 2.1 miles of beach front, 40 acres of recreational beach area in total Located 9 miles southwest of Los Angeles on the southerly end of Santa Monica Bay The Parks and Recreation Department Made up of five divisions: Community Services, Sports and Fitness, Recreation Services, Administration, and Registration. There are 11 parks, three community centers, one aquatics facility We offer 200 to 600 activities per session Process about 13,000 activities registrations and 640 reservations per fiscal year (online and front desk) We use the registration, reservation, flex care, membership, league scheduling and point of sale modules.

6 The Move from CLASS to ACTIVE Net QUICK FACT ABOUT CLASS The City decided to pass on convenience fees to customers CLASS is unable to accommodate the City s decision of passing fees The City also needed to replace servers which supported CLASS The cost for CLASS $65, (registration and reservation modules only) QUICK FACT ABOUT ACTIVE NET ACTIVE Net was able to pass long credit card fees to customers Only software, at the time, that could do everything CLASS supported The cost for ACTIVE Net $65,284 (registrations, reservations, point of sales, and league scheduling)
