6 Logging on to a Virtual Environment with Palm Vein Authentication SMARTACCESS, palm vein sensor Logging-on is enabled by simply bringing your hand close to the screen. Replaces the input of IDs and passwords with palm vein authentication to ensure safer use of computers. The authentication software, SMARTACCESS, provides an easy way to switch from using IDs and passwords to palm vein authentication. In recent years, to enhance system security and prevent data from being divulged, more and more users are using virtual desktop environments. However, while virtual desktops can be easily accessed from anywhere, the ID/password authentication, which is vulnerable as authentication for remote connections, cannot eliminate the risk of unauthorized access through identity fraud. In order to prevent identity fraud and to ensure simple and reliable authentication, Fujitsu's original palm vein authentication with its authentication software, SMARTACCESS, replaces IDs and passwords with palm vein patterns that are difficult to falsify. The use of the dedicated authentication server, Secure Login Box, and the SMARTACCESS virtual desktop SSO option makes it possible to centrally manage user information and enables single sign-on (SSO) to business applications on a virtual desktop. Usage Preparation/registration (1) Register your palm vein data in the Secure Login Box. (2) Provide a setting for SMARTACCESS palm vein authentication on the ID/password input screen on the virtual desktop. Authentication Perform palm vein authentication on the log-on screen on the virtual desktop to access the virtual desktop. 7 Jump start modernization in workplaces with Augmented Reality Interstage AR Processing Server/List Creator/Mobile Application Server Advanced Technology Implemented in-house Helps avoid human errors, such as working on wrong items, by presenting appropriate work instructions superimposed on with an actual article. Reduces tasks needed to be worked on when the employee returns to the office by enabling the use of familiar paper forms in the same way as they appear on smart devices. Supports real-time decisions and work in the field by visualizing inspection results, task histories, and matters passed on between people in charge. Augmented reality (AR), which shows actual information, such as images, by superimposing ICT information, such as pictures and letters, on it is already being used in the entertainment industry and others industries. This demonstration shows you how AR is used to carry out business by sharing information with office staff members, displaying work instructions superimposed on actual articles, visualizing the task histories and matters passed on between the people in charge, and completing tasks in the field by information entered there. Fujitsu supports customers changing their work styles based on the technical knowledge we've accumulated through practices inside and outside the company and by using smart devices and AR to carry out business.
