1 ROLE PROFILE POSITION Project Surveyor TEAM Asset Management LOCATION Coastline House VERSION 1.1 LAST UPDATED May 2017 PURPOSE OF ROLE Contract and project management of a range of contracts including the Grounds Maintenance Contracts and the Painting and External Repairs Contracts. Management, planning and coordination of Neighbourhood improvement projects, delivering value for money and leading on the Neighbourhood Standard initiative. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Contract and Project Management of a range of contracts including the Grounds Maintenance Contract and the Painting and External Repairs Partnership agreement. 2. Lead on the Neighbourhood Improvement Projects and oversee production of relevant plans and planning applications. 3. Project Management of all Neighbourhood Improvement Projects in particular leading on the Neighbourhood Standard initiative. 4. Development of programmes of work in line with contractual obligations. 5. Delivery of all improvement projects within timescales and budget allocations. 6. Technical approval of projects to ensure Value for Money and most advantageous specification of works. 7. Production, management and regular reporting of programs of work with pre and post improvement work quality and quantity surveys. 8. Coordination of all customer and stakeholder consultation events necessary within the remit of the planned improvement projects and supply of all customer related information required to fulfill the projects. 9. Production of information to confirm customer benefits of the overall projects at individual home and wider project level. 10. Evaluation and report as necessary outcomes, maintenance implications and Social Outcomes from projects. 11. To ensure that all works are completed in a safe manner and Health and Safety requirements adhered to, including CDM. GENERAL OBLIGATIONS (THIS IS STANDARD FOR ALL ROLES) 1. 4 Experience, Knowledge and Understanding Demonstrable contract management Demonstrable project management Procurement and tendering at a scale relevant to this role Experience in submission of planning applications Proven track record in the delivery of projects on time and within budget Sound knowledge of contract and project procedures and management To have a sound understanding of housing retrofit improvements Knowledge of relevant legislation related to housing maintenance Knowledge Building, Electrical, Gas and other related Regulations Computer literate in all aspects of Microsoft Office software Experience of customer and stakeholder consultation to develop services Knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) CDM Regulations Experience in managing sustainable retrofit housing improvements Experience in resolving maintenance and customer related issues Experience/ understanding of Highways, Services and estate works Experience in delivery of estate improvement projects Procurement and tendering of a type relevant to this role Knowledge of modern methods of procurement and construction Experience of Partnering Agreements to deliver similar works Housing Association Knowledge of landlord obligations in relation to maintenance service delivery and legislation Understanding of HHSRS and Decent Homes criteria Experience of customer and stakeholder consultation to develop services Knowledge of SAP and energy efficiency calculations
