WMS implementation: the UKZN Library experience Nonhlanhla Ngcobo Manager:Renaud Library Information Services Cecil Library University of KwaZulu-Natal

UKZN s vision is to be the premier university of African scholarship

Our students are techsavvy people who required a system that would measure up to their expectations. WMS is tailor-made for users of today.

Together we advance farther, faster

WMS is like a one-stop shop where they can get all the information they need.

The benefits for our users were immediately visible.

My Story Ifeoma Ebinumoliseh Post Graduate Student in Chemistry, School of Chemistry and Physics, University of KwaZulu-Natal

I had to fight for my right to an education and I would only get one by being strongwilled and by refusing to give up.

During my undergraduate days in Nigeria, libraries only had old and outdated books, mostly no internet access and our laboratories didn t have the right chemicals and equipment.

The library is the passport I have used in times past and present to get through my struggles for a better education.

There is even a big difference between the access I have to information between this year and last year.

I cannot quantify enough how important it is to have access to repositories of high-quality information.

Together we advance farther, faster
