4 Session Objectives The session is designed to provide a review of the most relevant new features that were made available in the NOVAtime 5000 SaaS July 2017 update. Please review the published What s New document and contact your support representative with any questions or to request activation and training on the new features.

5 Release Notes There were about 179 improvements made since the April 2017 quarterly update. We will review the most prominent items in today s session. For a complete list of all improvements, please refer to NOVAtime 5000 Help Chapter 7: Release Notes.

6 Attendance Category Timesheet (SPA) Activation of the (SPA) version of the timesheet is now provided by a setup option

10 Compliance Category FMLA Request Manager Added the ability to disable FMLA request extensions (by access group)

11 Compliance Category Task Due Date Tasks due dates can now be due based on the day the request was made not just the first and last day of the requested FMLA event.

13 Scheduler Category Scheduled Day Limits Prevent employees from being scheduled beyond a selection number of days in a week, month, year, or custom period when using the Advanced Schedule Manager. Allows new Approaching Scheduled Days notification feature to notify system uses when employees reach a specified number of scheduled days based on their assigned shift rule s limit period. (Current, Next, or Previous).

16 Scheduler Category Advanced Schedule manager Supports Scheduled Day Limits Includes a warning when a selected employee will exceed the day limits Includes an asterisk (*) next to employees who met the certification resource count requirements Includes a symbol (D) when an employee was scheduled beyond the shift day limits Includes a symbol (H) when an employee was scheduled beyond the shift hour limits Include an option to skip scheduling and employee who have a pending PTO request

17 Scheduler Category Advanced Schedule manager Includes an option for the display of schedule position colors Includes an option for the display of schedule expression and color based on how schedule was generated, and a character to indicate that it was one a vacated schedule position. Include the ability for the schedule administrator (SA) to manually indicate the request status of an available employee (Requested, Accepted, or declined).
