6 EFI Pace Release Notes Version 30.0 Enhancements This section summarizes the system enhancement updates in EFI Pace version 30.0 by module, including the corresponding issue number. Refer to the Version 30.0 Fixed Defects topic for detailed descriptions of all defects repaired in this version of EFI Pace. Disclaimer Please note that this document is a pre-release version of the Release Notes report for the next EFI Pace release. This pre-release document is published for your convenience and may not contain all the modifications to the system that will be available in the next official release of EFI Pace. Please refer to the Release Notes document that EFI publishes on the date of the next official EFI Pace release for all pertinent system modifications. Version Unit Of Measure [PACE-38337] The Legacy UOM mode is no longer available, and the system now includes the Unit Of Measure enhancement by default. Important: To ensure a smooth upgrade, please review the EFI Pace Upgrade Guide and run the System Inspector tool to configure the units of measure already in your system with the new required fields. Upon upgrading, EFI Pace seeds a number of new Unit of Measure (UOM) records. If your system already includes a UOM record that matches a newly seeded UOM, please ensure that the ID, Description and Unit Quantity fields in your existing record match the values in the seeded records exactly. This enables EFI Pace to map your existing UOM to the newly seeded one. If you created a UOM that uses one of the seeded IDs but for a different UOM, then when you upgrade your system, EFI Pace automatically appends a period (.) to the end of your existing ID and updates all the existing usage of this UOM record to correspond to the new ID. For example, if your system includes a UOM record with an ID of G for Gallons rather than Grams, then upon upgrade, EFI Pace automatically renames the ID of your UOM from "G" to "G." and adds a new UOM record with ID of "G" for Grams. The "G." (Gallons) UOM remains associated with the same objects and with the same effects. In this case, because the system adds a new seeded UOM record for Gallons with ID "GA," it is recommended that you use this UOM instead of the custom "G." Gallons record to ensure that you have the correct EFI Pace-supported UOMs and can take full advantage of new system features. The seeded UOM records include the following: ID Description Unit Quantity Quantity UOMs EA Each 1 SH Sheet 1 C /Hundred 100 M /Thousand 1000 LT Lot 1 RL /Roll 1 BX Box 1 Volume UOMs GA Gallon 1 L Liter 1 Weight UOMs

Version 30.0 Enhancements Release Notes 7 ID Description Unit Quantity LB Pound 1 CW CWT 1 KG Kilogram 1 MT Metric Ton 1 G Gram 1 Length UOMs LI Linear Inch 1 LF Linear Feet 1 YD Linear Yard 1 MM Millimeter 1 LM Linear Meter 1 Area UOMs SI Square Inch 1 SF Square Foot 1 MS MSI 1000 SM Square Meter 1 Thickness UOMs PT Points 1 MIL Mils 1 IT Inches 1 UM Micron 1 MMT Millimeter 1 The system also seeds the following new UOM records, but these records are inactive by default unless your system includes an existing matching UOM: ID Description Unit Quantity QT Quart 1 FO Fluid Ounce 1 FP Pint 1 I3 Cubic Inch 1 F3 Cubic Foot 1 Y3 Cubic Yard 1 ML Milliliter 1 CL Centiliter 1 DL Deciliter 1 C3 Cubic Centimeter 1

8 EFI Pace Release Notes ID Description Unit Quantity M3 Cubic Meter 1 OZ Ounce 1 DR Dram 1 CM Centimeter 1 DM Decimeter 1 SY Square Yard 1 SC Square Centimeter 1 SMM Square Millimeter 1 After you upgrade any of your UOM records, if they are not mapped to the new EFI Pace seeded version of the UOM, you must update the following three fields on each record: Measurement system: Enter Metric, Imperial, or All to indicate how EFI Pace must convert the UOM record from one system to another. UOM Dimension: Enter Length, Area, Weight, Volume, Quantity, or Thickness to indicate the units of measure functional groups that controls where in the system the UOM records are available. Base UOM Conversion: Enter the conversion factor for converting this UOM record to the base UOM for this measurement system and dimension, based on the following: UOM Dimension Imperial Base Metric Base Length LI (Linear Inch) MM (Millimeter) Area SI (Square Inch) SM (Square Meter) Weight LB (Pound) KG (Kilogram) Volume GA (Gallon) L (Liter) Quantity EA (Each) EA (Each) Thickness IT (Inches) MMT (Millimeter) You can locate and copy a new EFI Pace-seeded UOM record with the applicable values into your custom UOM records. This enhancement includes the following features: Three-character ID field. User-defined abbreviations for units of measure. Enhancements to purchasing units of measure to allow for fractional quantities. Ability to inactivate the existing default purchasing unit of measure and select a new default. Support for roll fed presses. Ability to define both LB and GSM weight papers in the one system. Framework [PACE-38669] 722 When you move from the legacy UOM setup to the current UOM setup, the system disables auto-ranging for all UOMs.

Version 30.0 Enhancements Release Notes 9 [PACE-43752] 248 You can now configure the EFI Pace system to send object data to eflow for reporting the data analytics on Job, Estimate and Estimate Request records by default. You can now configure the required objects to share data with eflow. [PACE-804] 112 EFI Pace redirects you to the main login screen if you type the IP address of the EFI Pace server in your browser's URL address bar. [PACE-39112] The EFI Pace appliance has been upgraded to Debian Stretch, Apache , PHP 7, Perl 5 and PostgreSQL User Interface [PACE-25742] You can now use the following keyboard shortcuts to access certain menu features: M or SHIFT+M: Open the menu (similar to clicking the blue highlighted module on the main menu bar.) S or SHIFT+S or SPACE bar three times: Open the menu Search feature (similar to clicking the menu Search button on the menu bar.) - CTRL+S or CMD+S: Update the current page (similar to clicking the Update button.) [PACE-28057] 622 EFI Pace now uses new.css stylesheets. Please note that custom.css files are disabled and you may need to adjust them to match the new styles. To reactivate the.css, on the Company Setup Detail page, select a look-and-feel from the drop-down list.

10 EFI Pace Release Notes [PACE-43870] 383 The system indicates a custom option on the EFI Pace Main Menu with a circle icon containing the option's initials. [PACE-40151] 274 When you add a purchase order anywhere in the system, the system now uses the first active record as the Purchase Order Type by default. [PACE-40750] The Column Set buttons now include CSS styles. [PACE-32391/ PACE-40731] Your system administrator can now use the Use Custom Sidebar Background Color and Sidebar Background Color fields on the Company Setup tab of the Company detail page to define a background color for the main menu bar so you can distinguish between different EFI Pace servers, such as staging and production systems. To make the change, from the EFI Pace main menu, navigate to Administration > System Setup > General > Company Setup. On the Company Setup tab, scroll to the Appearance area, and select the Use Custom Sidebar Background Color check box. Modify the value in the Sidebar Background Color field as desired, then click Update to save your changes. You do not need to restart the system, as the changes are effective immediately.

Version 30.0 Enhancements Release Notes 11 Accounts Payable [PACE-44773] 460 The Select Bills For Payment page now includes the new Selected for Payment tab. When you select bills for payment, the system lists the bills in a grid on this tab based on the batch you select. When unpaid, the system displays the bill on the main Pay tab so you can select it later. [PACE-28902] 358 The Unposted Bill Detail page displays the Next and Previous buttons, similar to the Job Billing Invoice page. [PACE-40631] 126 The system now displays a job number in the Bill Line area when a PO line receipt references a job. [PACE-40939] The system now includes a new 1099 Type of 04 - Interest. Accounts Receivable [PACE-44213] 418 You can now make Customer Groups inactive and add attachments. [PACE-35806] 121 You can now add customers and vendors via the main menu by navigating to Accounting > Receivables and Accounting > Payable. [PACE-6608] 007 You can now sort the GL Account column of the Sales Category List by Account, rather than GL Account ID. Admin Console [PACE-5574] 112 The Admin Console now includes a hyperlink to the release notes. Customization Toolkit [PACE-35762] Notifications now display the time in addition to the date in the Notifications drop-down list.

12 EFI Pace Release Notes Estimating/Unit Of Measure Note Estimating After you upgrade your EFI Pace system to version 30, the Estimating module ensures all sheet related information in the Estimate Press section of an estimate is relative to a run size sheet. Prior to this upgrade, some fields, while labeled as sheets, actually display press units instead. Due to the change in the meaning of the fields, if you forced these fields prior to upgrade, the system calculates them differently after upgrade, specifically in cases where the press type is not impressions per hour, which causes the estimate to be incorrect. This does not apply to any estimate that does not include forced fields, as the system recalculates these estimates to include the correct values. However, for any estimates where the values are forced and the press type uses a unit other than sheets (e.g., linear inch, or square meter, etc), the system recalculates the estimate to recalculate to something dramatically different, which requires that you either unforce these values, then recalculate and review, or change the forced value to a number that matches the new definition. These specific fields affected are Make Ready Sheets, Run Spoilage Sheets, Finishing Make Ready Sheets, and Finishing Run Spoilage Sheets on the Estimate Press record. [PACE-41674] Unit Of Measure records added using the dynamic add feature on the Inventory Item Purchase UOM record do not appear in UOM drop-down fields outside of Purchasing. [PACE-42281] The Estimate Paper record now includes a Target UOM field. When you select a target UOM and recalculate the estimate, the system recalculates the planned quantity based on the target UOM you select. [PACE-45667] The system now calculates Sheets Off Press as the total of Press Sheets + Finishing MR Sheets + Finishing Run Spoilage Sheets for all press types in the estimate quantity. [PACE-41935] The Unit Price on the Estimate Outside Purchase record is no longer UOM aware. [PACE-42269] Estimating now includes validation to enforce a 1-to-1 relationship in objects that are not yet UOM aware. [PACE-42266] The Create Estimate and Convert feature now properly sets the planned quantity UOM on the estimate paper, and the system calculates the quantity, thickness and areas correctly. [PACE-45190] The Estimating module now validates configuration as well as estimate usage to ensure that you do not configure roll stock to use a quantity-based UOM. General Ledger [PACE-44620] 435 The Comparative Income Statement (comparative-income-statement.rpt) includes a new parameter, Include Unposted Journal Entries that displays unposted journal entries when enabled. Inventory [PACE-40905] 537 The Quantity by Location tab on the Inventory Item Detail page now displays the Cycle Count field. The system calculates the Last Cycle Count field on the Inventory Item and displays the oldest Last Cycle Count value for any active location.

Version 30.0 Enhancements Release Notes 13 [PACE-41674] 51 Unit of measure records added using the dynamic add feature on the Inventory Item Purchase UOM record do not display in UOM drop-down fields outside of the Purchasing module. [PACE-41315] 11 The Inventory Item Purchase UOM Detail page now displays a plus sign (+) next to Units of Measure (UOMs) for your convenience. Click the plus sign to create UOMs for different roll lengths, box sizes etc. [PACE-41672] When you add a unit of measure from an inventory item, the system verifies that a duplicate unit of measure is not added. [PACE-42307] When you upgrade from version or 29.0 to version 30.0, the system now creates the new UOM, CX, for all the roll inventory items with a UOM value of C. If your system already includes the CX UOM when you upgrade, the system changes all CX UOM values to CX_, regardless of the paper type (roll, sheet or finished good). The system then uses the new UOM, CX, as the weight UOM. Additionally, the system retains the UOMs on Job Material records, Purchase Order lines, Purchase Order receipts, and bill lines. JDF [PACE-32010] 392 In addition to the existing functionality of JDF 1.2 and JDF 1.3 support, EFI Pace supports the latest versions of JDF: 1.4 and 1.5. [PACE-38855] EFI Pace now sends the proper pagination for workflow integration, even if you run a job with more than one sig on a sheet. [PACE-41236] When you enter Send Per Plan as the submission method for the JDF workflow, if the JMF PaceConnect is unable to send the job plan due to the device being down, the system automatically resend it. [PACE-36974] In the JDF/JMF PaceConnect records, you can now add JDF expressions that can add empty new elements with multiple attributes and values. Job Billing [PACE-23422] 478 The system now displays a Single Invoice Batch drop-down list. When you select the Allow Process All check box on the Job Billing Setup Detail page, the system displays approved and unapproved invoice batches. When you deselect the Allow Process All check box, the system displays only approved invoice batches. [PACE-41272] 336 When you delete all invoice lines on an invoice and then you add a new one, the system assigns the number "1" to the new line. When you add additional invoice lines to an invoice, the system assigns the next line number in the sequence following the existing lines. [PACE-31124] The Invoice Add page in the Job Billing module now displays the Invoice Level Option selection from the job and enables you to change it as you add the invoice. [PACE-41663] The invoice number is non-editable when the Unique Invoice Sequence is enabled on the Job Billing Setup Detail page, and you use a legal entity. Job Control Center [PACE-40504] Job Material records now include a unit of measure for the quantity as well as the unit price unit of measure. [PACE-41701] The Planned Qty UOM field on the Job Material record is now read-only.

14 EFI Pace Release Notes Job Planning [PACE-43983] 412 The Job Plan page now includes a Return To Job button that brings you directly back to the related job and provides smoother navigation for the most frequent action on this page. [PACE-43721] 241 The job plan page now displays the Job Parts and Job Plans areas as collapsible grids, and the system displays the PERT chart above the Job Plans grid. [PACE-41782] The PERT chart now reflects the task status with respective color displays. PaceConnect [PACE-45871] 284 You can now use the XML data importer to look up an ID ID lookup with an xpath. If you want to update an object through XML but the XML does not contain the object ID, you can identify the object by an xpath with other attributes. For example, you can use a lookup attribute in the XML to update an estimate by its estimate number instead of the estimate ID as follows: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <import> <InventoryLines> <InventoryLine lookup="@serialid=1645"> <quantity>1500</quantity> </InventoryLine> </InventoryLines> </import> PaceConnect-eFlow [PACE-37095] 261 You can now configure system event handlers on the eflow Event PaceConnect record to send the required data to eflow. PaceConnect-Fiery [PACE-18387] The Job Plan now includes a Link Status field that enables job plans to update the status of other job plans. You can use this feature when you want to schedule time for a cost center outside of the Data Collection module. The system uses the value from the new Link Status field on the Activity Code by default. PaceConnect-Metrix [PACE-38093] EFI Pace now sends the Metrix Paper Grade, as configured in the inventory item "Media Grade," to Metrix for inventory items. PaceConnect-PrintStream [PACE-5874] 441 When PrintStream-shared inventory items are part of a purchase order line, then you cannot receive those purchase order lines from EFI Pace.

Version 30.0 Enhancements Release Notes 15 Productivity Workbench [PACE-42078] 599 The Productivity Workbench widgets now display up to 100 items, instead of 20. Purchasing [PACE-38668] When you upgrade to version 30 of EFI Pace, a system inspector checks if any xpaths use a hard-coded size denominator instead of /@sizedenominator. If such xpaths exist, you should review and adjust them, using the size denominator variable. During the upgrade, the size denominator changes to 1, so other hard-coded numbers will result in incorrect calculations. Universal Importer [PACE-42271] The system-seeded paper import now supports the new paper UOM enhancements. Documentation The Online Help system now includes the new workflow for EFI Pace Productivity Suite v6.0, Workflow #23: Digital StoreFront PrintStream EFI Pace Metrix PrintFlow Process Shipper. Also, the following workflows for EFI Pace Productivity Suite v6.0 were consolidated for efficiency, and the Online Help system reflects these changes: Workflow #2 - EFI Pace - - Third-Party Prepress System Auto-Count (formerly workflows #2, #18, and #21) Workflow #18 - EFI Pace - Metrix - Third-Party Prepress System - EFI Pace Scheduling - Auto-Count (formerly workflows #20, and #21) Workflow #20 - Digital StoreFront - EFI Pace - EFI Pace Scheduling - Fiery XF - SmartLinc Process Shipper (formerly workflow #22) In addition, the Online Help includes updates to the following guides: Accounts Receivable Setup Accounts Receivable Usage Admin Console Custom Report Writer Setup Customization Toolkit Setup Estimating Setup Introduction To EFI Pace Reference Item Templates Setup Job Control Center Setup Other System Administration System Inspector System Security
