Note If you update a support package earlier than SAP CC 5.0 SP 2, refer to all the Release Note - What's New documents published with the previous support packages. What's New in SP 2 The support package 2 provides the following features in your SAP system landscape: Canceling Charging Sessions with Web Services (New) Categories in Cockpit Launchpad (New) Display System Status in Cockpit (New) Property Type Convertor Enhancement (Changed) Display User Operations in Cockpit (New) New Search Criterion for the Audit Feature (New) For performance and compatibility purposes, the support package 2 also provides the following of the SAP Convergent Charging architecture: New "catalog.cache.retention_period" configuration parameter for the Core Tool user interface. This user assistance provides you with few supplementary maintenance procedures that are necessary to perform the technical implementation of this SP in your SAP system landscape. 9 3 Canceling Charging Sessions with Web Services (New) 3.1 Feature Overview As of SP 2, SAP Convergent Charging is enhanced with a new web service operation for canceling charging sessions. Summary In the Charging Session Management web service, SAP implements the new ChargingSessionCancel operation that allows you to cancel all or part of the charging sessions of a subscriber account. This operation uses the identifier of a subscriber account and a search filter for canceling charging sessions of the subscriber account. The search filter contains the following optional criteria: The identifier of the session The identifier of the reservation The identifier of the charging contract The identifier of the service used in the session The technical identifier of the user of the session The consumption date of the last chargeable item of reservation The expiration date of the session Benefits This enhancement allows you to cancel and remove charging sessions that are not removed during the Charging Session Cleanup process. Note During the Charging Session Cleanup process, some charging sessions are not removed because the TTL (Time To LIve) of the charging session is set to a huge value or because an error has occurred in a charging session (for example, a division by zero). 12 5 Display System Status in Cockpit (New) 5.1 Feature Overview As of SP 2, SAP CC Cockpit provides you with a new app for verifying the overall status and availability of an SAP CC Core Server system quickly and efficiently. Summary With the app Display System Status, you can: Display and inspect the availability of all the instances that compose your SAP CC Core Server system. Manage some variants to define custom views that facilitate your administrative tasks. Visualize important information that facilitate your technical operations: software versions, data partition distribution. Briefly monitor the restart of your system after an SAP CC software maintenance: shutdown sequences and startup sequences. Benefits This enhancement enriches your SAP user experience. When operating on an SAP CC Core Server system, you can get a clear view of its status and availability more efficiently. 13 5.2 Effect on User Interface Changes in SAP CC Core Tool The app displays a clear view of the status and availability of each system instances in your Core Server system. 5.3 Effect on Administration As an SAP CC administrator, you use this new app to view and inspect the system instances that compose your Core Server system. 14 6 Display User Operations in Cockpit (New) As of SP 2, SAP CC Cockpit provides you with a new app for searching and displaying audit records of user operations. Summary With the app Display User Operations, you can: Filter user operations View user operations Export user operations and related object snapshots Benefits This app replaces some windows of the graphical interface of Core Tool (Audited Operation and Object Change Log) and allows you to have an overall picture of user operations of your system. 16 7 Property Type Convertor Enhancement (Changed) 7.1 Feature Overview As of SP 2, the graphical user interface of SAP Convergent Charging is enhanced for using number properties in the Property Type Convertor Operator component and retrieving the length of a string property through a new attribute in the Property Introducer Operator component. Summary In the Property Type Convertor Operator component, you can specify the start and end positions of a substring in a string by using number properties. In a number property of the Property Introducer Operator component, you can retrieve the length of a string through the new attribute Length and use the number property in the Property Type Convertor Operator component. Benefits This enhancement allows you to configure the Property Type Convertor Operator component by selecting number properties instead of typing numerical values. More Information See the Primary Help of Logic Components for more information about this feature. 7.2 Effect on User Interfaces Changes in SAP CC Core Tool In Core Tool, you can now create number properties in the Property Introducer Operator component to retrieve the length of string properties (Figure 1) and use these properties in the Property Type Convertor Operator component to specify the start and end positions of a substring in a string property (Figure 2). 16 Release Note - What's New in SP2 rights reserved Property Type Convertor Enhancement (Changed)

18 8 New Search Criterion for the Audit Feature (New) 8.1 Feature Overview As of SP 2, the graphical user interface of SAP Convergent Charging is enhanced with a new search criterion for the Audit feature. Summary In the Audited Operations window of the graphical user interface of SAP CC, you can use a new search criterion (Instance ID) to search for audited user operations. Benefits This enhancement allows you to check instances that have processed user operations.
