9 3 Range Table Input Columns (New) 3.1 Feature Overview As of SP 1, SAP Convergent Charging is enhanced for allowing you to add input columns to range tables and subscriber range tables. Summary SAP CC implements this new feature that allows you to add input columns to range tables and subscriber range tables and manage up to five input columns of string type. This feature impacts the following objects: Range table classes Range tables Subscriber range tables Range table introducer Comparator Benefits This enhancement allows you to: Store product category levels Simplify the configuration of price plans and facilitate maintenance and operation requirements for range tables and subscriber range tables More Information See the following guides for more information about this feature: Primary Help of Core Tool Primary Help of Logic Components 3.2 Effect on User Interfaces Changes in SAP CC Core Tool In Core Tool, you can now create range table classes (or subscriber range tables) with input columns (Figure 1). Note that in a range table, Core Tool only displays the output values that are related to the input value that you have selected (Figure 2 and Figure 3). In the Range Table Introducer Comparator component of Core Tool, you can now: Map the properties of the rating context onto the input keys of a range table (see Mapping of Input Properties in Figure 4). Process the case that corresponds to no found input keys in the tree decision of a range table (see the new branch Input Values not Found in the decision tree in Figure 4). Note that this branch is available only if you have defined at least one input key in the related range table class. Range Table Input Columns (New) Public rights reserved 9

14 4 Importing Objects with Core Tool (Changed) 4.1 Feature Overview As of SP 1, SAP CC Core Tool is enhanced for facilitating the import of data objects to a pricing catalog. Summary In the Core Tool user interface, you quickly select the expected objects that you want to import from an XML file into the database. Note Core Tool can only import an object that has previously been exported and saved (File > Export), rather than saved directly to a file (File > Save > In a File). This is because the export operation saves all versions of an object and the objects attached to it, rather than just one version that lacks associated objects. The import operation requires all versions and associated objects to be available. Benefits This enhancement enriches your SAP user experience. When configuring the master data, it allows you to import objects more efficiently. More Information See the following product documentation and user assistance for more information about this feature: Primary Help of Core Tool (Importing a charge, Importing a charge plan) 4.2 Effect on User Interfaces Changes in SAP CC Core Tool When using the import function (File > Import) in Core Tool, you can now use the Select All and Deselect All buttons to choose the relevant objects. 14 Release Note - What's New in SP 1 rights reserved Importing Objects with Core Tool (Changed)

17 6 File Metadata Recording (New) 6.1 Feature Overview As of SP 1, the data files generation function of the Chargeable Items Charging process evolves. A new mechanism is available to record metadata about the data files generated by raters and bulkloaders during the execution of the different processes. This metadata recording mechanism is based on a dedicated scheduler that regularly stores metadata for each data file generated by raters and bulkloaders: Within the FILE_METADATA table of the Core database That needs to be regularly purged to ensure the global performance of the SAP CC system For further information, refer to the "Enabling the recording of file metadata" and "Configuring the file metadata purge mechanism " sections of the SAP CC Tuning Guide documentation. 6.2 Effects on User Interfaces Admin+ Enhancement A new purge_file_metadata command is available in the SAP CC Admin+ user interface, that gives the possibility to purge the recorded metadata according to a reference date. For further information about this command, refer to the Admin+ user interface online documentation Cockpit Enhancement A new app named Item Files Monitor is available in the SAP CC Cockpit application. This app enables the SAP CC administrators and operations team to monitor the high-volume item files generated by the SAP CC Core Server systems. You can use the Item Files Monitor app to visualize and analyze the metadata related to the item files (also known as output data files in the SAP documentation) that result from the business operations (charging, refilling, activation). For further information about this new app, refer to the SAP CC Cokpit user interface online documentation. File Metadata Recording (New) Public rights reserved 17

Once exported, you can share some parameters' persistent values or use them as basis for importing the values to another system. Benefits This enhancement allows you to: Create and share audit reports about all the SAP CC system parameters. A report includes persistent, runtime, and initial values that are defined in your running Core Server system. You use your spreadsheet application to inspect the system configuration. Facilitate the system configuration with import and export functions in SAP CC Config Tool and SAP CC Cockpit. More Information See the following product documentation and user assistance for more information about this feature: Primary Help of Cockpit Primary Help of Config Tool 7.2 Effect on User Interfaces Changes in the App Top of the parameter value table, two buttons are now available in display mode: Save to File Loaf from File 18 Release Note - What's New in SP 1 rights reserved Exporting/Importing Parameters with Your App (New)

19 8 Charging Session Time-To-Live Customization (Changed) 8.1 Feature Overview As of SP 1, SAP Convergent Charging is enhanced for allowing you to customize the Time To Live (TTL) of a charging session.
