3 Accessing Analyser Analyser is a web-based application. The URL for the product is: Once you enter this address in your browser Address bar, you will be presented with the screen image as above. This is the login screen. You will need to use your login name and password to access the database. Type in your relevant details and click on the Login button. NB: Please note that clients using IP Authentication will not need a user name and password to log in; you will be taken directly to the module page. Analyser User Guide Version: 01 3

13 ANALYSER FINANCIAL RATIOS COMPANY INFORMATION This module allows you to browse financial ratios for listed and delisted companies and the available ratios include general ratios, growth ratios, cash flow ratios and user defined ratios. 17 ANALYSER NEWS COMPANY INFORMATION This module allows you to search for listed and delisted company news using McGregor BFA news, JSE SENS news or both. This module also allows you to search for specific keywords in articles and the keyword will be highlighted in RED, in the article, once it has been opened. NB: Please note that some articles that are highlighted in red are to do with the release of financials such as published annual financials as well as interim and preliminary results. 21 ANALYSER PRICE DATA COMPANY INFORMATION This module allows you to browse price data and yields, trades and transactions as well as market capitalisation data for listed and delisted companies, indices, other JSE instruments, safex, bonds and international data instruments. 28 ANALYSER BROKER CONSENSUS COMPANY INFORMATION This module allows you to view broker consensus information for listed and delisted companies. 30 Contributing brokers information This will allow you to browse all the companies that each broker does consensus for. By clicking on one of the companies in the brokers list it will allow you to see the broker consensus report for that individual company. Analyser User Guide Version: 01 30

31 ANALYSER EXCEL REPORT COMPANY INFORMATION This module allows you to build an Excel fact pack of information for listed and delisted companies that gives you comprehensive financial information about that company. Excel report module page layout NB: Please note that you have the option to either build the report in real-time or you can have the report ed to you as per the options above. If you chose to build the report in real-time it will take approximately 5 minutes depending on your internet connection speed. Analyser User Guide Version: 01 31

35 ANALYSER PORTFOLIOS MANAGER The Analyser portfolio manager will allow you to build and manage your portfolio that you will then be able to use within all the modules of the Analyser product. Portfolio manager page layout NB: Please note that you have will first have to add a portfolio as indicated above. Click on the GO button to get the process of building a new portfolio started. 36 First you will need to give portfolio a name, type in the selected name and click on the SUBMIT button as indicated below. Naming your portfolio You have now given your portfolio a name. Click on the name of your portfolio to now add companies to it. Analyser User Guide Version: 01 36

37 Adding companies to your portfolio You can access the companies you would like to select either by the sector or by selecting one of the letters of the alphabet that will then list the companies for that letter. Once you have found the company you are looking for you can click on the add button and the company will be added to your portfolio. Analyser User Guide Version: 01 37

38 Companies added to your portfolio You have now successfully added companies to your portfolio and can now use your portfolio within the modules of the Analyser product. If you need to delete companies from your portfolio you can use the delete function as indicated above. Analyser User Guide Version: 01 38
