13 MindSphere Connectivity Overview MindConnect Nano and MindConnect IoT2040 Establish a plug and play connection to MindSphere and collect and buffer data from multiple field devices using dedicated IoT connectors like the MindConnect Nano or the MindConnect IoT2040. MindConnect embedded Agents In standard Siemens industrial products focused on greenfield as unique differentiator, with e.g. SIMATIC, Sinumerik (ex. S via FB in TIA portal) MindConnect API/LIB The MindConnect API enables self programming of own connectivity agents. The MindConnect LIB provides an application example to facilitate the development of connectivity agents using the MindConnect API. MindConnect Edge Analytics Collect data at higher sampling rates and utilizing X-Tools as a collector and preprocessor for high dynamic signals. MindConnect IoT Extension Extend the range of IoT devices that can easily be connected to MindSphere (e.g. Raspberry Pi, SIGFOX, Dell Edge GW) or use further adaptable software-agents (e.g. MQTT, Java, C++ agents) on your custom device.
