5 Release Ntes fr SAP Prtfli and Prject Management 5.0 Prtfli and Prject Management Capital and Resurce Management (Enhanced) As f SAP Prtfli and Prject Management 5.0, yu can use the fllwing functins in capital and resurce management if yu have switched n the 0002 Master Switch -> 0008 Enhanced Capital and Resurce Mgmt Switch (see SAP Nte ): Business Partner availability in search: In the resurce search, yu can cmpare the availability f a resurce with the remaining demand f the chsen rle. The system displays a graphical chart belw the search result. Navigatin t fast entry screen (FES) in Resurce Management: Yu can navigate frm the Resurce Management wrk center directly t the resurces verview r t the staffing verview by chsing the respective link in the Services area. Search criteria fr crss prject in Resurce Management: Dependent n yur needs as a resurce manager, prgram manager, r prject manager managing several prjects, yu can save the search criteria fr resurces and prjects as views. T d s, yu can tggle between Switch t Favrites and Switch t Views and define and edit yur wn views. Object header f Prtfli Management: Navigatin via prtfli hierarchy: The prtfli hierarchy is displayed fr the item, item template, initiative, initiative template, and bucket and displays the prtfli and bucket hierarchy in which the bject is lcated. T navigate t the respective prtfli r bucket, yu can click the respective bject link. Prcess steps: If yu have assigned multiple subbjects t a decisin pint, t display the assigned subbjects, yu can pen a selectin list by clicking the arrw. The list cntains all subbjects linked t the decisin pint. By clicking the name yu can navigate t the selected bject. Cpy rles: Yu can cpy rles and staffings frm a prject t use them as a basis fr a fllw-up prject. Capacity assignment t bucket in Prtfli Management: On the Bucket Details screen, yu can assign resurces t a bucket and yu can display the capacity amunt mapped t individual view/categry/grup cmbinatins. Yu can als derive the financial planning values frm the assigned capacity. On the Resurce Details screen, yu can display the buckets t which the resurce has been assigned. Yu can navigate t the bucket r prtfli by chsing a link in the table. Octber

Enhanced assignment f subbjects in Prtfli Management: Yu can assign netwrk activities f a Prject System (PS) prject t decisin pints f an item. The phases and decisins dashbard cntains additinal clumns fr netwrk activity attributes t display the data. Yu can assign multiple bjects as fllws: Yu can assign ne item decisin pint (DP) t multiple Prject Management phases. Yu can assign ne item DP t multiple PS WBS elements. Yu can assign ne item DP t multiple PS netwrk activities. Yu can assign multiple Prject Management phases t ne item DP. Nte: If yu have assigned multiple bjects, the system displays multiple rws in the phases and decisins dashbard. If yu have assigned the item DP t tw Prject Management phases, the system displays Multiple Phases - and nt the link t the bjects - in the Timeline Mnitr in the Phase Name clumn. Mapping Functins in Cmmn Functins: If there are multiple surce bjects, yu can define mapping functins t determine the value f a field n the target bject. Fr example, yu have mapped tw netwrk activities (surce) t a decisin pint (target) and yu want t synchrnize the start dates. Then yu can use the Minimum mapping functin t map the earlier start date t the decisin pint start date. Plan vs. Cnfirmed (Business Cntext Viewer): Yu can display a cmparisn f the planned time versus the cnfirmed time fr a task/rle r a whle prject using the side panel f the Business Cntext Viewer (BCV). This gives yu an verview f the current prgress f the prject. Yu can display the cnfirmed times n a time axis r gruped accrding t prject r phase. Yu can use this fr CATS cnfirmatin r the internal cnfirmatin in the applicatin. SAP BusinessObjects Explrer integratin: Yu can quickly search and explre data fr instant insight int yur business in all wrk center dashbards. Yu can get quick, easy answers t n-the-fly questins withut training r IT invlvement, by simply entering a few keywrds t search fr relevant infrmatin and then intuitively explring large vlumes f data - withut prir knwledge abut what data exists r where t find it. 6 Octber 2017

The Transfer t SAP ERP pushbuttn is available in the Financial Planning dashbard f the item if the transfer is active fr the prtfli type. If yu want t use the search fr resurce availability at bucket level in Prtfli Management, yu must have cpied the delivered Custmizing entry fr the RPO bject type (RPM_RES_POOL_SRCH Search Help Name) in Custmizing fr SAP Prtfli and Prject Management under Cmmn Functins -> Search -> Define Search Help fr Prtfli Management. This enables yu t check dcuments ut directly in the applicatin, edit them, and check them back in again. Yu d nt need t lck the dcument manually while editing it. This enables yu t transfer mass data in a quick and easy manner. Imprt data frm Micrsft Excel t Prtfli Management: T create a bucket, yu can imprt the details f a bucket frm Micrsft Excel by executing the RPM_DX_BUCKET reprt. T create a prtfli, yu can imprt the details f a prtfli frm Micrsft Excel by executing the RPM_DX_PORTFOLIO reprt. Create prject elements directly in the cntext menu f the structure tree, which enhances the usability. Decide if yu want the system t autmatically generate a versin header when yu create a versin in Prject Management. Flrplan Manager message mapping t change message types r t replace r suppress messages in Prject Management. Cmplete a task even if it cntains subtasks that are nt yet cmpleted. Display and edit the substitutes f all prject members in the prject detail view n the prject header. 13 Release Ntes fr SAP Prtfli and Prject Management 5.0 Fiscal Year Planning (New) As f SAP Prtfli and Prject Management 5.0, yu can define and display data in fiscal year frmat and therefre use the fiscal year variant fr planning a fiscal year in SAP Prtfli and Prject Management. Financial Perid Breakdwn Fr financial and capacity planning, a specific perid breakdwn accrding t the fiscal year definitin is supprted. Year t Date Values If yu have activated the fiscal year planning, the year-t-date values represent the values frm the first perids (P1) f the current fiscal year until the current perid. Exchange Rates If yu have activated the fiscal year planning, the system uses ne exchange rate per perid during the imprt frm SAP ERP. T determine the exchange rate, the system uses the first day f the perid. Effects n Data Transfer In case financial values are being imprted frm the SAP ERP system by linking a prtfli item t a PS prject element, the fiscal year variant used fr the PS prject element and the prtfli item must be the same. If yu use several Cntrlling areas, fr example if yu have cnnected several SAP ERP systems, then yu nly can imprt int the prtfli if the fiscal year variants f the Cntrlling areas are the same. Effects n System Administratin Migratin Reprts If yu have switched n 0010 Prtfli Item FI/CO Planning and Integratin -> 0006 Fiscal Year Switch (see SAP Nte ), yu must use the /RPM/MIGRATION_CAL_TO_FISCAL reprt t transfer the values frm calendar year frmat t fiscal year frmat. If yu want t cpy the fiscal year variants frm the SAP ERP system, yu can use the /RPM/FISCAL_VARIANT_COPY reprt. 15 Release Ntes fr SAP Prtfli and Prject Management 5.0 BI Cntent (Enhanced) As f SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI Cntent Add-On 5 SP01 and SAP Prtfli and Prject Management 5.0, the fllwing bjects are available: The fields Frecasted Start and Frecasted Finish are available fr BI reprting in Prject Management. Yu can extract the frecasted dates frm the Prject Management system t the BI system fr prjects, phases, and checklist items. The inf bjects fr the respective prject elements in the BI system nw cntain the Frecasted Dates field. With classificatin hierarchies, yu can define alternative bucket structures with clusters f items and initiatives; fr example, yu can add a market-based view t a prtfli. Classificatin hierarchies prvide mre flexibility and additinal views f the items and initiatives within a prtfli. Yu can assign items and initiatives t the buckets within these classificatin hierarchies. Yu can use the classificatin hierarchies t get alternative views and specific peratins regarding the financial and capacity planning data. Classificatin Hierarchy Structure A classificatin hierarchy cnsists f a multilevel bucket structure, just like a standard prtfli. The classificatin hierarchy can be ne f the fllwing: Crss-Prtfli: Yu can assign prtfli bjects in all existing prtflis t the crss-prtfli classificatin. Several crss-prtfli classificatin hierarchies can exist per prtfli management system. Prtfli-Specific: Yu create the classificatin hierarchy specifically within ne prtfli. Yu can nly assign prtfli bjects f that specific prtfli t the classificatin hierarchy. Yu can create several prtfli-specific classificatin hierarchies per prtfli. Within a classificatin hierarchy, yu cannt create new items and initiatives - yu can nly assign existing prtfli bjects t the classificatin hierarchies. Within classificatin hierarchies, yu can create reviews, what-if scenaris, and cllectins based n the assigned items and initiatives. Yu can mark classificatin hierarchies as mandatry. All items and initiatives in the given cntext then have t be assigned t this hierarchy. If the hierarchy is crss-prtfli, assignment t this hierarchy is mandatry fr all items and initiatives in the prtfli management system. If the hierarchy is prtfli-specific, assignment t this hierarchy is mandatry fr all items and initiatives within the parent prtfli f this hierarchy. When wrking in the cntext f a prtfli, yu can access all available classificatin hierarchies via the Classificatin Hierarchies wrk center. 34 Release Ntes fr SAP Prtfli and Prject Management 5.0 Dcument Management (Enhanced) As f SAP Prtfli and Prject Management 5.0, the fllwing changes have been made t dcument management in Prtfli Management. By default, the new dcument management based n Knwledge Prvider (KPr) is used. KPr-Based Dcument Management The dcument management systems f Prtfli and Prject Management have been aligned. In additin t the already existing KM-based dcument management, a new KPr-based dcument management is available. The dcument management system that is used can be specified using a checkbx in Custmizing (see 'Effects n Custmizing'). The new dcument management layer is supprted fr the fllwing prtfli bjects: Prtfli Bucket Cllectin Review Item Initiative Decisin Pint Templates The dcument management supprts dcument templates that can be defined under Prtfli and Prject Administratin -> Prtfli Management Templates -> Dcument Templates. Fr each bject type, yu can define flders and dcuments that can be cpied ver t perative bjects. T use the dcument templates in the perative prtfli bject, yu need t set the status f the dcument in the template t Released. Assigning Dcuments Within the dcument structure, the tp-level nde always represents the prtfli bject. Therefre, n dcument-specific functins such as authrizatin and versins are supprted fr this nde. Belw the tp-level nde, yu can create new flders and dcuments. T prtect the dcument frm unauthrized access, yu can define authrizatins per dcument r flder.
