3 Executive Summary Huge Data Exchange (HugeDEx) is a Data Trading Exchange that allows anyone (from individual user to large organizations) to trade (sell or buy) data in a fair open market using HugeDExCoin. HugeDEx is based on various key innovative and mature technologies: DECENTRALIZ ED NETWORK Decentralized network to provide scalability and low-latency HUGEDEXCOIN HugeDExCoin for data monetization during trading BLOCKCHAIN Blockchain for data integrity and accuracy esmart UIoT esmart UIoT which provides inter-device communication and gives the user control over data. 3

4 Background Huge Data Data has become one of the most critical and valuable commodities in modern society. As IoT and IIoT continue to grow exponentially in the next few years, the amount of data involved will far exceed Big Data and we will move towards the Huge Data era. In the Huge Data era, centralized storage will be outdated and unable to scale to handle the magnitude of data being produced. Data ownership and privacy Data related to IoT/IIoT is currently being collected by device OEM and platform providers. Data owners (end users) have absolutely no control over their own data. Biased data for analysis Data is currently collected by device OEMs and IoT/IIoT platform providers. The Big Data sets are often limited in a vertical niche which causes the datasets to contain a serious bias. 4

6 Huge Data Exchange (HugeDEx) HugeDEx network consists of 3 main components esmart UIoT is a smart IoT translation system which enables IoT device interoperability. When users deploy the UIoT system in their home or office, they can control all their connected devices using the app of their choosing. HugeDEx Network HugeDEx Block is built on top of Ethereum using smart contracts. With HugeDEx Blocks, the HugeDEx Marketplace layer is formed for data trading. Secure Storage is a user chosen storage location where UIoT will store recorded data securely. 6

7 Huge Data Exchange (HugeDEx) The HugeDEx network provides two key features. 1 Network provides a mechanism to collect and store event data. The mechanism ensures that the user is always in control of their IoT data and specifies the available storage methods. HugeDEx Marketplace Smart Contracts 2 Network provides a marketplace to allow for the sale and purchase of data. 8 HugeDEx Marketplace The HugeDEx Marketplace layer (interacting with HugeDEx Blocks) allows data consumers to directly purchase unbiased data from devices or data owners. HugeDEx Marketplace data consumer data provider / device owner HugeDEx Blocks (w/ metadata) will be pushed onto the blockchain HugeDEx Marketplace will read HugeDEx Blocks from the blockchain and advertise for sale. Allows for data to be offered for sale instantly. Interested buyers (data consumers) can browse event block metadata, verify integrity, evaluate data usefulness, and ultimately decide whether to purchase the data. 8

9 HugeDExCoin HugeDExCoin is the usage token of the HugeDEx network. Its purpose is to provide a value incentive for offering data and acts as compensation between data consumers and data producers (device). Data Consumers HugeDExCoin Data / Event Blocks Data Providers (Devices) HugeDEx Network HugeDExCoin is implemented as an ERC20 token running on Ethereum. HugeDExCoin will be maintained using a token smart contract to track coin balances and ensure secure and trustless payments. 9

The total supply of HDEX will be partitioned into 3 pools.
