RouteFinder OS Highways New OS Highways translator which configures the data ready for use in RouteFinder

AddressBase Toolkit for MapInfo by Aligned Assets The AddressBase Toolkit has been developed to provide a visualisation of AddressBase data for MapInfo Pro users to perform fast searching capabilities

AddressBase Toolkit Using the AddressBase Toolkit will allow you to: Import AddressBase Plus to MapInfo.tab format Generate a formatted view of the AddressBase data for use within MapInfo Pro. Allow MapInfo users to search the AddressBase data (using Lucene Search technology)

MapInfo Pro Advanced

What is MapInfo Pro Advanced? Next generation raster GIS capabilities Provided as an add-on to MapInfo Pro. Runs with the 64 bit version of MapInfo Pro. Innovative new grid format and high performance engine Full featured raster GIS capabilities Great performance with very large grid files. Takes advantage of industry standard compression methods Efficiently displays data at all zoom levels ("pyramiding") Support for both numeric, classified (categorical) and imagery data in the same file. We are adding support for these new capabilities across our product line, including Spectrum Spatial and MapXtreme.

MapInfo Pro Advanced example uses Demographic analysis Analyse healthy vegetation (NDVI) Visibility/viewshed analysis Hotspot mapping Terrain (slope, aspect, curvature) Flood risk

Why Raster? Why now? Satellite Data Over 100 new earth observation satellites launching in the next 5 years (smallsats & cubesats) FAA, Transport Canada and other official guidelines have been published for the use of UAVs Terrain Data Catastrophic events (floods, landslides, earthquakes) require map revisions and risk assessment Urban planning cities are investing in infrastructure and require precision terrain models Telco coverage maps

Raster Data Types Continuous each cell represents a continuous numeric value Multi-banded e.g. Elevation Air Quality Temperature Classified each cell represents a discrete categorical value e.g. Agricultural Land/Cropland and Pasture Water/Bays and Estuaries Urban or Built-up Land/Residential Imagery each cell value represents a discrete colour e.g. RGB[128, 215, 112] RGB[233, 245, 85]

Glossary DTM Digital Terrain Model. This is an elevation model of the terrain with all surface objects such as vegetation, buildings and vehicles removed this is the bare-earth model. DSM Digital Surface Model. This is an elevation model of the terrain plus surface objects such as vegetation, buildings and vehicles. LiDAR Light Detection and Ranging, is a remote sensing method that uses light in the form of a pulsed laser to measure ranges (variable distances)

What can we do with an ASC file? MapInfo standard >File Open >Type >Grid Image

Convert? A large number of common formats are supported. It is possible to open and merge many files (hundreds) in a single operation.

The Multi-resolution Raster (MRR) data format.mrr an innovative new grid format Great performance with very large grid files. Efficiently displays data at all zoom levels ("pyramiding") Support for both numeric, classified (categorical) and imagery data in the same file. Supported in Spectrum Spatial and MapXtreme. Multi-resolution raster format allows variable size grid cells for improved efficiency. Can mix data from different sources Multiple variables in a single grid (fields and bands).
