2 Business Benefit Configuration Tool This tool allows to generate and download verified product configurations for all your new orders. The Configuration Tool offers our partners a convenient way of configuring our products on an order number level. With just a few steps, you can generate a quality checked configuration for all your new orders. The respective material list can be downloaded in csv and xls format. Please use this material list as your order sheet for ordering with your distributors or your local Unify branch to ensure a consistent product configuration for all your orders and minimize coordination efforts with your supplier.

3 Classification in our system landscape Webshop (online ordering tool within Partner Portal): This tool allows only partners directly linked to headquarters to order products online in the German SAP system and includes product configuration and pricing. Offer-to-Order Tools for quoting, configuration and ordering: Are comprehensive tools for all partners for the creation of offers incl. prices, configuration, Pre-Sales-Support integration and partner layout. Besides quoting it also includes configuration functionality of ECS and an order file including prices that can be uploaded in SAP systems. Examples of an 'offer-to-order' tool are Metis or Visual Project. Configuration Tool (online product configuration tool within Partner Portal): This tool will allow all partners - i.e. the once not (yet) using Webshop or one of the Offer-to-Order Tool to verify a product configuration online based on the same ECS function used within the Webshop. It only provides a verified list of materials (xsl file without prices) that can be used to place orders easier at the Local Entity or the distributor.

6 Generic Information Please click here to start the configuration. Note that within Partner Portal only new orders and no installed base orders can be configured. Downloads are only available in csv.

7 Product Selection and Country of Installation The Transaction ID will be created automatically. But it is also possible to give a individual name. (1) Drop down field with Unify product portfolio. (2) Please select the country of installation. (4) After you have made the selections above please press send. (3) Language selection for the configuration system. Optional: Change between offer and order level. Usually no change needed.

9 Project/Price-Specific Input Not Relevant (Exception: HiPath 4000 with IPDA) Only in some more complex HiPath 4000 configurations (with IPDA) you may need to provide a number in the Customer Project field. You will be asked to access our Project Number tool. In this case please make sure that your company s Proxy Server allows the HTTPS access on Port 8444/8443 for ecs.unify.com In the Configuration Interfaces may ask for pricing/project-specific input (e.g. Sora). For the Configuration Verification and the Qualified Lists of Material these sections should be generally ignored.

10 Configuration Verification and Qualified List of Material (2) If you push the P button you will see the list of material on your screen (see next slide). (1) If the configuration check is ok, you will see the green smiley and you may download the list of material. Otherwise you will be linked to the missing/incorrect information. After modification please check here again for verification

11 Download of List of Material If you push the download link, choose Open and a csv file is shown. Please save this as xls file. Alternatively you can choose Save the file and then change the sufffix of the file from csv to xls format.

12 Closing the Configuration Interface Please click here to close the configuration interface after the download.

13 Starting of New Configuration or Closing the Session If you click here you can start a new configuration. A new configuration interface will open again. For ending your session of the configuration tool please click the logout button or close your browser.

14 FAQs Will the Configuration Tool be available in all Partner Portal countries and to all partners? Not necessarily. In general we released the tool to all partners in Partner Portal. But specific countries may have restricted access through our role based approach. Do I need to install additional software? No. Just the browser settings have to be checked. The popup blocker has to be off and the URL has to be added to the trusted sites. How can I get support in handling the tool? Help for the Configurator is attainable by clicking the question mark directly in the Configurator. If your need more guidance please contact your account manager or your responsible local Unify Pre-Sales team. Will the Configuration Tool replace any existing tools supporting the full offer-to-order process? No. The Configuration Tool is only a simple, web based way to generate an order list for a new system which is checked against configuration rules. It will not support extension business and show any prices. Will the Configuration Tool provide a completely automated configuration? No. The completely automated configuration will be provided with Offer-to-Order Tools like Metis. The Configuration Tool is designed as a workaround for partners that have not yet access to one of the Offerto-Order Tools. Once Visual Project is rolled out broadly the Configuration Tool will become obsolete.

15 FAQs Can I save my configuration for later modifications? No. Due to the preliminary character of the tool, this option is not provided. Is the Configuration Tool using the same configuration system as Offer-to-Order Tools? Yes. There is only one common underlying configuration system which is the so called ECS. Metis is using the same source. The provided tool in Partner Portal is a pure online configuration service, no pricing included. For partners already using an offer-to-order tool, there is no additional benefit. Does the Configuration Tool allow configurations for installed base? No. We are not targeting that. More complex tools like Metis support the complete offer-to-order process also for the installed base. The Configuration Tool is restricted to new systems. Who will be held responsible in case of errors/bugs/missing items in a configuration? The Configuration Tool is designed to help you to create a pre-qualified configuration. But - like all software - bugs can not be completely excluded. It remains the responsibility of the organization placing the final order to verify the automatic configuration. If you experience any bugs in the tool, please inform our Customer Service Desk at customer-servicedesk@unify.com or via the Partner Portal to further improve the tool.

16 FAQs Can I import the resulting excel file in other tools like Webshop, Metis or Project Pricing tool? No, this is not the focus, no formats for re-use in other existing tools will be provided. Focus is the creation of a initial, validated list of material without the help of Unify experts. The configuration can be loaded in the Web-shop by manually modifying the list of material to a csv file usable in the Webshop. Why does the Configuration Tool allow me to select older product versions or products which are not released for my channel? The Configuration Tool is based on a common configuration service (ECS) used in all countries and channels. Therefore all products worldwide are included in the underlying service. How can I avoid differences between the Configuration Tool and my price list? The ECS is updated regularly and hence new items may be available for selection. If you do not use the latest price list, you might not notice that an item is now available in the price list and make the offer to your customer without the price of that item. To avoid this, please check the monthly Delta/Revision packages (will also be available on the Partner Portal Supply - Ordering & Pricing Support section).
