The 11 faculties offer a wide range of courses and conduct in-depth research in both exact and social sciences. UGent is implementing a financial project management system, which will become the operational toolkit to manage their research and educational projects throughout the entire lifecycle with instruments for planning, follow up and control in perspective with the main stakeholders such as the budget owners, promoters and the central financial controlling department. The result will be a SAP Fiori Launchpad including multiple Fiori apps that will support different users in managing their projects. Davy is responsible for the functional analysis of the business requirements for the Fiori apps with regard to SAP modules Project & Portfolio Management (PPM), Project Systems (PS), Grants Management (GM), Funds Management (FM) and Records Management (RM) Client Eandis To Role Information Manager / Business Analyst / Functional stream lead (customer side) Environment SAP ECC 6.0 Requirements analysis Eandis is implementing a strategic project to align technical assets with their financial assets. In order to succeed the supporting databases and business processes need to be redesigned. This is a very complex project, which involves many stakeholders from various departments within Eandis. 2

3 The result of this project will provide more transparency towards the governmental organizations like CREG and VREG. The scope for this project is SAP modules FI/CO/PS/CS/MM/BW, with the main focus for Davy on SAP PS. The business process Design a new large work was remodeled and supported by a new custom build web-dynpro application. This application is strongly integrated with SAP PS and creates, reads and updates the actual Large work with all its activities, labor estimates and material components (PS Network). In order to realize this we made use of BRF+, Task lists and BOM s Davy is gathering the business requirements through organization of workshops with the business users. Davy will translate these requirements into a business requirements analysis. The requirement analysis is build using Enterprise Architect based on the UML modeling technique. An external consultancy partner of Eandis will execute the implementation and integration of the SAP solution. They will handle the blueprint, build and deploy. During the project Davy will assist the Eandis business project manager and business process analyst in the project activities such as scope management, change management and quality management. Davy will collaborate and coordinate with the external partner (Capgemini) to assure the delivery within the agreed timeframe and expected quality. Davy will assist the key users during testing and take on the role as single point of contact for these key users during and after rollout Client Eandis To Role Information Manager / Business Analyst Environment SAP ECC 6.0 / SAP SRM 7.0 Requirements analysis, Blueprinting, Functional Analysis Eandis has decided to implement a new, SAP based, solution for the follow up of subcontractors. This solution will inherit existing capabilities of the current application Opera but will be extended with new features based on the to be processes. The complexity of this project is to align different business departments within Eandis onto a single platform. One of the major challenges will be to create a portal where the subcontractor can enter the delivered services himself. The solution itself is based on SAP SRM. The scope for this project is SAP modules MM/PS/PM/CS/BW. The focus for Davy was the integration of the custom application within the existing business processes Connection works (CS), Exploitation works (PM) and Large works (PS). By extensive use of SAP Workflow an approval flow was set up to achieve a paperless flow between Eandis and its contractors. When an approval is reached the system will automatically post a service entry sheet in the system. Davy is gathering the business requirements through organization of workshops with the business users. Davy will translate these requirements into a business blueprint and functional analysis. The used modeling technique is UML. Throughout the project Davy will be in close collaboration with SAP applications team to assure the quality and functionalities are up to the required standards. 3

4 Client Eandis To Role Project Manager / Business Analyst Environment SAP ECC 6.0 / MI 7.1 SAP Mobile Infrastructure (MI) 7.1 Nokia IntelliSync is used for synchronization of attachments between the SAP backend system and the mobile device in the field. As Nokia is phasing out the product, Eandis is replacing it by SAP Mobile Infrastructure 7.1 The project size is budgeted on 400 man-days. The mobile infrastructure will foresee 1000 technicians with work orders (CS / MAM) en related documents. The project will have a phased rollout, this means that 2 different technologies and infrastructures will be in operation at the same time. Davy is taking up 2 roles in this project. He is the project manager and also the responsible business analyst for the SAP backend integration. (Plant maintenance / Document Management) Client Eandis To Role PS/PM/MAM Module Specialist Environment SAP 4.6c / SAP ECC 6.0 Support Eandis uses a full suite of SAP Modules (PS/CS/PM/MM/FI/CO/IS-U/CATS) to operate day-to-day business. Recently this was extended with Mobile field service using SAP mobile infrastructure for mobility and Click Software for scheduling. Davy is part of the extended team at Eandis. In his role as module specialist he analyses new business requirements in the field of PS, PM and mobile (MAM). Davy is also taking up the role as a process specialist for "Mobile Data handling" in which he controls the E2E process of the attachment flow to the mobile device trough SAP / Nokia Intellisync.(field service management) Further, Davy is the responsible team lead for the extended Capgemini team at Eandis. He assists his colleagues with his technical experience and acts as a SPOC for Capgemini Client Electrabel SA To Role PS/IM Stream Lead Environment ECC 6.0 Implementation Electrabel is the largest electricity and gas supplier in Belgium, with a very changing business content seen the liberalization of the energy market. With the STAR-One project, Electrabel wanted to develop a new SAP platform for R3, becoming the future European platform. 4

5 Davy is the responsible stream-lead for the implementation of the PS and IM module. Since the STAR ONE project is a full cycle project, Davy will be leading the following activities: - Workshops - Blueprint writing - Customizing (Realization) - Functional spec. writing - Testing - Go-live & support Client TMVW To Role SAP PS Consultant Environment SAP 4.6C Support & User training TMVW is a Belgian water utility company who is using SAP PS to manage large projects such as "Investment Works" within the organization. Davy was responsible for the follow-up and solving issues regarding to the module of PS and CATS. He also organized end-user trainings on SAP PS: "Basis project system" Client Eandis To Role Jr. Pim Werken op het net / PS-PM-SD Consultant Environment SAP 4.6c Support Eandis uses a full suite of SAP Modules (PS/CS/PM/MM/FI/CO/IS-U/CATS) to operate day to day business. Recently this was extended with Mobile field service using SAP mobile infrastructure for mobility and Click Software for scheduling. Davy is taking up the operational role of Junior Process Information Manager "Werken op het net" in the organization. The Jr.PIM "Werken op het net" provides first line support to the business end users about the usage of the SAP system (modules PS/PM/SD). The Jr.PIM also supports the Business process analyst in the development of new business concepts in relation with the SAP system. Davy is also coaching the newly hired assistant PIM and the newly hired IT business analyst for PS Client Pidpa To Role SAP PM / ISU Consultant Environment ECC 6.0 Pidpa is a Belgian water utility company that wants to transfer it s customer management system to an SAP platform and integrate it with theire existing SAP R3 environment. CRM@Pidpa includes all main ISU processes (CS, meter reading, billing & invoicing, accounts receivable), adds and/of modifies several R3 processes (connections, stock management, SD, order management,...), CRM CIC, BW reporting & planning and integration with the Mobile Asset Management application. 5

6 Davy is part of the mobility team at Pidpa. Within this team Davy is responsible for the implementation of SAP Mobile Asset Management (MAM 3.0). Davy is also covering the integration between ISU and R/3 (Plant maintenance). SAP modules covered during this assignment were PS/PM/WCM and DMS. Most important tasks on this assignment involved: * Problem analysis * Proposal of the functional solution * Implement solution * Testing * Communication Client TMVW To Role Test manager / Trainer Environment SAP IS-U 4.7 ISU implementation TMVW is a Belgian water utility company that re-gained hold on their customer management and invoicing because of the end of the cooperation with Electrabel, for which they ve selected SAP ISU and started the Neptunus project. Neptunus consisted out of a SAP ISU implementation on an existing SAP R3 environment. The Neptunus project included all main ISU processes (CS, meter reading, billing & invoicing, accounts receivable) and some R3 processes were added or modified (connections, stock management, SD,...). In this project Davy was mainly active in 2 areas. On one hand he was responsible for the follow up and coordination of the integration- and acceptation test phase. Within this cycle his activities were: - Assistance of the key users during the testing phase - Collecting the issues - Coordination of the functional teams (issue solving) - Feedback to the key users (retesting) - Follow up of the testing schedule On the other hand Davy played an important role during the training phase: - Creation of the training material 6

7 - Give training to end-users - Coaching and assessments of end-users Client TMVW To Role SAP PS Consultant Environment SAP R/3 4.7 Blueprint, analyses, realization Optizon: optimization of regional areas The working procedure of TMVW has changed; a consequence of this was that the current setup of Project System had to change. Davy played a major role in this project in the blueprint, realization and test phase Optimat: optimization of warehouses Davy was mainly responsible for the integration of PS with the logistic solution. AquaRio: Waste water treatment The setup of PS for the water distribution had to change, to allow TMVW to go to a new market: waste water treatment. Davy was responsible for the modifications in the module PS Client TMVW To Role SAP PS Consultant Environment SAP R/3 4.7 Testing, Issue solving, user training Davy was a member of the functional upgrade team, his role was to facilitate the key-users during the testing phase. Davy was responsible for the development of the test scenarios for the PS module and was responsible for the execution of the testing activities Client Philips Eindhoven To Role Conversion Consultant Environment SAP 4.6C Data Conversion & Upload Within the international rollout strategy of the SPEED program, Davy was responsible for the data conversion and upload for several sites. This all was done using LSMW. His main area of responsibility was the Make to Demand conversion objects and some Purchase to Pay objects. Responsibilities: Overall view of the conversion process for the MtD/PtP objects. Coordinate with conversion extract team to identify best approach for conversion. Support and drive overall progress of conversion within MtD/PtP area according to plan. Create upload approach and tools for the MtD/PtP objects. Support the process teams in creating approach and functional designs for conversion. The existing Alice module was integrated to the client and Belgian law specifications. This project contained a wide variety of tasks, going from Batch inputs to interfaces, print routines, user-exits, reports, transaction development, authorizations, etc Davy has built through this project a wide experience that will certainly be an added value to a next project.
