5 HCL IBM Partnership HCL and IBM have entered into a 15+ year IP partnership for Rational Testing, SCCM, Modeling products, as well as Tivoli Workload Automation products. HCL has set up a new division called. IBM will continue to sell the products, and own the customer contracts. HCL is responsible for development, support, and customer advocacy. IBM is not divesting these products. All of the IBM development and support engineers will be joining HCL Products. Level 1 remains with IBM. Customers will continue to have access to the expertise of the labs. HCL will be expanding upon IBM s Lab Advocate program, implementing a higher touch and more interactive way of connecting our development team with customers. This is our hypercare for customer relationships. HCL Products recognizes the importance of these long lasting products to customers. HCL will be accelerating the product roadmaps, and delivering new features and functionality. HCL Products now has the Lab Services mission for these products. HCL Products will be refreshing Lab Services offerings to provide customers higher ROI and faster time to value. 5

7 Client Advocacy plans What is Hypercare? In alignment with IBM s concept of Unleash the Labs, hypercare is a high-touch, highly interactive approach to customer relationships through lab teams. It provides the greatest value and service to the customer through strong connections with product development teams and serves as a method to better engage current customers. What Customers Can Expect: Increased interaction from the development team, in accordance with client needs. Deeper understanding of the client s current status with the products and any challenges. More frequent touchpoints on product roadmaps, including opportunity to provide input. Support of client needs regarding usage and deployment, including facilitation of lab services engagements or support team where required. More cohesive and collaborative approach to the client relationship, including interactions with development, support, and offering management teams more visibility into the overall client relationship from the HCL side. 7
