1 JOB SUMMARY Consultants for REMEDI demonstrate through their background, work experience, and interactions with others the following traits, behaviors, and characteristics necessary for success that include, but are not limited to: Expertise and credibility based on a high desire to produce referenceable work, and a genuine interest in their own quality of workmanship. Projects are routinely delivered on time, on budget, and free of careless defects. A high sense of integrity that places a client s best interest above self, along with the trustworthiness and work ethic that is considered productive in the client s eyes even when working remotely or part time. Possesses a positive helpful attitude when working with clients that demonstrates a willingness to be flexible to achieve goals of the client in a way that complies with the policies and procedures of both REMEDI and its customers. Loyalty to hold in confidence information and knowledge that should not be disclosed to others. The ability to interface with prospects and clients both in person and by phone in a way that aids in the successful delivery of solutions, and a personality that proactively seeks out new opportunities with and for client organizations. Provides thru personal expertise technical solutions and work output that exceeds the average worker in same technical discipline. The willingness to work beyond normal hours during peak periods with customers, as well as the flexibility to work on a wide variety of projects in terms of technology, scope, project length, or specific role. An ability and willingness to communicate personal and/or technological capacities and limitations in a candid but polite manner. The ability to advise against a course of action when required in a way that conveys a client s best interests are in mind, rather than inflexibility and to seek and find suitable alternatives to serve provide the customer with a solution to their request.

2 Ability and willingness to provide best practices, tips, knowledge share, and mentor client staff, and fellow consultants. Knowledge of data integration nuances existing within various industries is highly desired. Reliable follow-up and follow-through skills. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Mapper Documentation - Creation of (MRS) specifications, mapping documentation using formal or ad-hoc tools. Mapping - Creation and modification of EDI maps in a variety of formats and standards including; XML, ODBC/JDBC, flat file, idocs (other ERP APIs), X12 and EDIFACT. Trading Partner Testing Create trading partner profile, communications testing. Trading Partner Implementation Create trading partner profile in production, move resources to production environment. Developer Mapping - Creation and modification of EDI maps and advanced mapping functions (ex. user-exits) in a variety of formats and standards including; XML, ODBC/JDBC, flat file, idocs (other ERP APIs), X12 and EDIFACT. EDI Development - Creation and modification of business processes and workflows with and without the use of process modelers in comprehensive integration suite environments. Writing and modifying business processes and workflows EAI-based development

3 Web services deployment Complex ERP integration Architect System Implementation, Migration, Upgrades Installation and/or upgrade work involving EDI systems. Troubleshooting & Support - Identify failing processes, assess general EDI system(s) health and provide recommendations for increased efficiency. Project Management - Managing scope and system wide deliverables for clients. System Analysis - Hardware and software requirements planning and sizing. Solution Design Impact Analysis Performance Tuning Best Practices - review and implementation of best practices EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Post-secondary degree or demonstrated experience in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Technology Experience in data integration (EDI, EAI, MFT) mapping, development, or architecture across multiple organizations and industries Must be familiar with various EDI standards such as X12, EDIFACT, Tradacoms, VDA, RosettaNet, and XML standards Experience with industries such as retail, manufacturing, finance, healthcare, automotive, transportation and logistics Must be familiar with various protocols including but not limited to FTP, SFTP, AS2, SMTP Knowledge of data translation map design and testing methodologies Effective communication skills - listening, written, and verbal Strong problem identification, and solution development skills. Ability to diagnose issues to root cause

4 Ability to work effectively in a team and customer support environment Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization by translating technical requirements into business solutions Ability to multi-task and meet strict project deadlines Willing to learn new technologies Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check SKILLS DEMONSTRATION Ability to answer comfortably and confidently about specific integration tool capabilities Scenario based questioning to demonstrate problem solving, conflict resolution, integrity, etc. Skills are to be verified through standardized interviewing and reference checking METRICS Architect Number of unassisted production installs Number of upgrades and migrations Number, variety, and outcome of nonstandard solutions Developer Quantity / complexity of original workflows designed, business processes developed, or other back end coding Other code development without relying on libraries of previous developed code Percentage of time spent in the type of development that we are seeking compared to other duties
