3 Introduction The smart power systems produce significantly more data than the traditional analogue measurements and indications. Detailed data increases the number of measurements and their accuracy. We also register more contextual information such as various environmental conditions, quality and mode attributes. We supervise the secondary system in detail including security aspects and user activity. All these changes contribute to an increase of up to 100 times in data, which requires new ways to be managed in order to become useful. Slide 3
