1 SAP-CENTRIC FINANCIALS - FEEDBACK FORUM 2018 We are delighted to bring back the SAP Feedback Forum to the SAP-Centric Financials 2018 event. The Feedback Forum will offer you a number of topics, where SAP is currently designing new solutions or significant product enhancements. The purpose of the Feedback Forum is to allow SAP to share those plans with you and engage in a dialogue, where your feedback and input will be critical for SAP to validate and reshape ideas. Participation in the Feedback Forum sessions is by invitation only. Please contact isabel.hoffmann.lopez@sap.com in case you would like to participate or have further questions.

4 SESSION ABSTRACTS 4 Controlling for Discrete Manufacturing (covers MTS, MTO, ETO)t - Eva Wang - SAP s production controlling processes were designed in an era of large lot sizes and minimal customization. In the meantime internet sales and direct customer access have driven changes in manufacturing with mass customization and a lot size of one becoming widespread. We no longer see a neat division between make-to-stock, make-to-order and engineer-to-order but the same organization performing all three in tandem. In the early 1990s, it was considered acceptable to analyze production variances at period close. With the move towards continuous accounting, there is a need to analyze variances as they arise and know the value of the work in process at all times. With this in mind SAP is revisiting its controlling approach for discrete manufacturing. In this session, we will cover: Overview of Controlling processes for discrete manufacturing Demo& Design review: end-to-end process for real-time valuation of work in process, scrap and variances Demo& Design review : KPIs for the production controller Accelerate your Financial Close with S/4HANA -Joerg Meyer - Attend this session to learn about the new possibilities to accelerate your Financial Close with S/4HANA by making your processes more efficient and more intelligent. We would like to collect your feedback concerning the following existing applications and planned projects: The new intelligent Fiori apps for GR/IR account reconciliation provide a central point of access to all relevant information to process open goods and invoice receipts. Machine Learning supports the G/L accountant to make smarter and faster decisions. This leads to increased productivity, compresses the timeline for reconciliation and makes the entire end to end process more efficient. The app Trial Balance displays account balances in real-time including all postings made by the newly supported closing processes like foreign currency remeasurement, impairment (according to IFRS principles), and reclassification of long-term receivables. Both demos are based on our prototypes, we would like to get more feedbacks to improve our design before we make it as a real product. Especially for KPIs for Production Controller, it s the first time we deliver such ideas and there are several new apps based on different KPIs, much more important to get the feedback from customers.

5 SESSION ABSTRACTS 5 Performance monitoring and overview for financial management -Martin Krucky - There is a new concept of analytical applications in Fiori, providing managers and supervisors with overview of real-time reporting and statistics. During this session, we will introduce selected Fiori Overview Page Applications, which can be used to analyse several financial performance measures. We would like to get your feedback for some of the following applications: Accounts Payable Overview Asset Accounting Overview General Ledger Overview Sales Accounting Overview Accounts Receivable Overview Test Control Effectivness (in GRC) Automate Finance closing processes with the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Closing cockpit - Michael Loehden - Experience how the SAP S/4HANA Cloud closing cockpit helps to centrally plan and adjust, monitor, control, finetune and document your closing cycles in terms of automatic and manual process steps: Central orchestration of activities in a distributed landscape Definition of responsibilities and dependencies Notification of users and their substitutes in a configurable set of events by means of and/or FiORI-Inbox Central monitoring of completion rate and number of issues.

6 SESSION ABSTRACTS 6 Parallel Controlling - the unification of Accounting and Controlling continues with new options for additional currencies and valuation approaches -Birgit Oettinger - The first major step on the road of FI/CO-unification was the universal journal, but some functional gaps between FI and CO remain Controlling initially offered only two currencies, with many companies struggling to handle e.g. functional currency requirements. Multinational companies have often been forced to add controlling areas, thus losing the group view that cannot then cross controlling areas. In Financial Accounting, we provide new options to add ledgers to handle different valuation approaches and assign new currencies to those ledgers, but these are only useful if Controlling can handle these approaches during allocation and settlement We already offer a group view where intercompany profits are eliminated alongside the legal view that reflects intercompany transfer prices and a profit center valuation. We plan to offer additional valuation views e.g. per division. Since many multinational companies also have multiple system instances, we plan to offer material cost calculations that can cross the system borders. Transfer prices are currently only offered for intercompany material flows. We need to understand whether there is a need for additional valuation views for cross-company service charging and activity allocations
