28 $8.2 billion (USD) in assets., 402,000 customers and 200 branches Great Western Bank was faced with the challenge of growing so fast that they were starting to really stress the system they had in place for managing data, which was basically keeping data in spreadsheets!!! Users struggled with the old reporting tools and had to wait as long as a week for help-desk assistance. Very difficult for bank officers to cross-sell additional services or to identify dissatisfied customer They needed to deal with scale and they needed to get data into the hands of their end-users who really knew the business.

29 Self-service BI which allowed the business decision-makers to reason in real time over various decisions they had to make. In many cases they're looking at account data, so people who have signed up for accounts to try to determine which product/service they next want to sell or marketing program they want to target particular customers. Being able to allow their end users, the business decision-makers, to do what-if analysis on their own was really, really powerful. Bankers use Power View to fully comprehend the customers needs, serve existing and new customers more effectively, and maximize account-level profitability.
