3 Introduction In the release of Microsoft Dynamics C Service pack 1 we have chosen to introduce several new features and improvements. During the autumn 2008 Hot fix 100 was released for Iceland. The functionality for this hot fix is included in Service Pack 1, but this functionality is dependent of the chosen Country and language in the company table. Fix list for reported bugs are included in the Service pack 1 documentation. Help file is updated with Danish and general country specific features. The new help file will not be copied into an Icelandic installation but can manually be copied into an Icelandic installation if needed. Special news for Country - Iceland Display of Exchange rate Exchange rates are being shown per one unit of currency instead of 100 units of currency. The changes only affect visual presentation of currency exchange rates in forms, but not the calculation logics across Microsoft Dynamics C5 The feature is developed as Icelandic country standard only. Compliance with the above mentioned Icelandic requirement has been ensured by implementation of the following changes: In all affected forms the database fields ExchRate and ExchRateTri have been hidden and provided with duplicate virtual fields ExchRateView and ExchRateTriView, which can be seen and edited by users - further information in the document Factsheet about Exchange Rate. OIOXML einvoice Microsoft Dynamics C OIOXML solution gives the possibility to generate OIOXML invoice file in the same way as when creating ordinary invoices or credit notes. The actual sending has to be done afterwards. The Danish solution has a verification of the EAN number, but since the OIOXML is not a legal requirement yet in Iceland there are no validation of the EAN number further information in the document - Factsheet about OIOXML UK. 3

4 Payment file - Claim Microsoft Dynamics C5 Service pack 1 solution gives the possibility to generate a claim file that manually can be sent to an Icelandic bank and to receive the return file with the payments further information in the document: Factsheet about customer payment for Iceland. Special news for Country Denmark EAN check for EAN number The validation for EAN number is changed in Service Pack 1 to comply for both the public and private sector. The check for EAN number was based on the public sector and allowed only the format 579xxxxxxxxxC. Private companies can also request an EAN number, this has the format 57xxxxxxxxxxC. Check is changed so it only checks for the two first digits modulus 13 check is still present. News and improvements - not country specific VAT report, Vat periods and Vat settlement In service pack 1 vat periods are introduced and along with this a new vat report and new functionality to settle the due vat amount Further information in the document: Factsheet about Vat Report & Vat settlement. Inventory check for negative quantity Several macros for check for negative quantity in inventory have been combined into one macro, and the check has been extended and introduced in several new places in the application e.g. in inventory-, purchase order- and sales order journal. The help file has been updated with further information about the checks and handling of different setups of the Inventory management. Inventory Check module from General, Periodic, Check The function for check of the inventory module has been updated. We recommend that if you have had any problems during the upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics C we recommend that this check is performed using the option; Check+correct. 4
