4 KEYNOTE SESSIONS 8: :00 Registration and Breakfast 9: :30 Welcome: PP&M Corporate & Regional Update Sven Gebhardt 9: :15 Process, Power & Marine Innovations Charles Evans This session will provide an update on PP&M s technology advances in the last year, and a few glimpses of what is in store for the future. You will see a demonstration of Intergraph PP&M technology, and learn how it helps build a smarter, better industry. 10: :30 Networking Break 10: :15 AMEC: Publish & Compare, Changing the Engineering Process One Step at a Time Simon Spurrier It is often said that People, Process and Technology all need to be addressed when advancing the development of engineered assets. It is all too easy to get blindsided by great technology when you know that the traditional engineering culture will avoid risk at any cost and revert to traditional methods as quickly as they can. However, if the engineering community can see real benefit, proof of challenged data quality/integrity, notification of changes that affect the engineered asset, reduced cost and risk of handover etc. Then they will start to accept more readily changes to traditional work processes. The concept of publish and compare or esquad-check, spearheaded by AMEC, is where existing processes remain unaltered but the quality and integrity of discipline information is improved. 11: :00 Managing the Plant Engineering Design Basis and Asset Data Integrity at Shell Barbara Zambon Shell is rolling out its Engineering Data Warehouse (EDW) based on Intergraph s integrated SmartPlant Enterprise technology and SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators Validation, Transformation & Loading (VTL) tool.
