Summarize prject wrk plans frm Primavera P6 t Oracle Prjects Custmize Hw Infrmatin is Shared Between E- Business Suite (EBS) Prjects and Primavera P6 There are numerus ptins fr custmizing hw infrmatin is shared between EBS Prjects and Primavera P6. This enables rganizatins t match the integratin ptins t their unique business prcesses, determine which applicatins wn different types f prject data, and specify which prjects are synchrnized and hw ften that synchrnizatin takes place. Organizatins may synchrnize prject data as ften as needed, depending n the nature f their business and imprtance f the prjects. This infrmatin typically applies acrss prjects and shuld be kept up t date. This integratin prcess ensures that prject managers using Primavera P6 are always wrking frm the current glbal infrmatin befre they perfrm any detailed prject planning. Any changes made t glbal infrmatin in P6 will be verwritten the next time glbal infrmatin is synchrnized frm EBS Prjects. Synchrnize Prjects, Structures, Budgets and Actuals This prcess synchrnizes budgets between EBS t Primavera, and creates a Primavera P6 budget change lg t track changes t the budget fllwing synchrnizatin. The budget, mst likely wned by EBS Prjects, is stred as the current budget in P6. This prcess ensures that the rganizatin s tp-dwn budget prcess prvides current budget infrmatin t the prject, which can then be easily cmpared t bttm-up prject details t ensure alignment. This prcess is als used t update actual csts frm EBS Prjects fr the Primavera P6 prject, WBS, and resurce assignments. Prject managers are equipped with current cst infrmatin t determine whether their prjects are perfrming within the prescribed budget. In additin, yu can use this infrmatin t make infrmed decisins fr bringing the prject csts back n track. When a prject is clsed in EBS, this synchrnize prcess is used t set the Primavera P6 prject t inactive status, initiating any prject clse ut prcedures that need t be perfrmed by the prject manager. This prvides visibility fr the EBS users int the current prject details s they may see hw changes t the prject schedule may impact their respnsibilities. Fr example, an emplyee respnsible fr prcurement f equipment fr a prject may adjust the purchases accrding t the prject budget. T perfrm better cst management, the emplyee can ensure that the equipment is received at the beginning f the prject. Similarly, prject infrmatin is summarized and included n enterprise dashbards, prviding transparency int what is happening n prjects acrss the enterprise. This prcess is als used t manage prgress infrmatin, such as estimate t cmplete and estimate at cmpletin csts.
