CityBase is reimagining the user experience of government. It starts with a dynamic content structure, in which static webpages are deconstructed into a library of topics that are presented dynamically. Digital services allow people to apply for permits, request records, or pay bills from anywhere. Residents get the information they need in the way they prefer, whether that s quarterly s about public safety or weekly text messages about events. A shock to the household such as job loss or illness triggers extra support rather than a cycle of debt. We design systems at the unit level to enable data-driven presentation. Building blocks of content and digital services are sorted and resorted depending on activity in aggregate, or on an individual s authenticated profile. The overlying system and its interfaces need only to request a common variable, such as person, address, or vehicle, and the request is translated across all systems.
