3 ENcome MANAGEMENT BOARD SERVICE OFFERING DR. ROBIN HIRSCHL Robin already acquainted himself with the theoretical foundations of photovoltaics during his study of physics. For his Ph.D. thesis in the area of computational material science about the electronic properties of solid state surfaces, he received awards such as the Loschmidt prize of the Austrian Chemical-Physical Society. After that, he moved on to the business fundamentals of renewable energy in the Energy and Utilities Team of the strategy and technology consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton (Booz & Co since 2008, now strategy&, part of PwC), where he supervised many projects throughout Europe, eventually as Senior Project Manager. Since 2007 he has held management positions at top tier Austrian PV companies, such as Kioto Photovoltaics and KPV Solar, before co-founding ENcome Energy Performance in DR. ANDREAS LEIMBACH Andreas holds a Ph.D. from the University of Paderborn and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has more than 20 years of experience in corporate and investment banking, including Dresdner Bank AG, Dresdner Kleinwort and IKB Deutsche Industriekreditbank AG. In 2010 he co-founded SolarKapital Group, an owner-managed financial services provider which invests equity and know how along the entire value chain of the solar sector. In 2013 SolarKapital invested in ENcome Energy Performance. With a view to the impressive growth of ENcome in the past years and the extended management requirements Andreas joined the management board of ENcome in ENcome understands and offers the full scope of technical services, from acquisition support, technical due diligence, management and rectification of any technical issues through to all aspects of Operations & Maintenance or technical asset management. 4 OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE Our offer in the business segment of Operations & Maintenance of solar energy power plants comprises technical, commercial and infrastructural services. ENcome CONTROL CENTER The centralized ENcome Control Center cooperates with locally based plant managers. ENcome 24/7 HOTLINE With a 24/7 dedicated focus on plant operation ENcome ensures that all aspects of plant operations are optimized with performance and longevity in mind. TIME TO RECTIFY MONITORING & REPORTING Solar energy power plants are continuously monitored by the professional control center team. This allows for timely detection of disruptions and errors. Countermeasures can be initiated immediately. Consequently, energy yield will be optimised as down times are minimised. Reporting comprises monthly, quarterly and/or annual performance reports including deviation analysis and maintenance protocols. Moreover and upon request, access to the proprietary monitoring portal ENcome Energy Monitor is granted. This provides all necessary information to closely follow the performance of solar energy power plants. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE Electrical equipment needs to be maintained and inspected on a regular basis. This is not only mandatory to comply with certain regulations, it also increases energy yields and the safety of plants. ENcome assures that all requirements are met and acts as your responsible operator. As a consequence of preventive maintenance, errors and downtimes can be reduced. Since continuous preventive action is more efficient than costly removal of errors and corrective maintenance, operating expenditures are reduced and earnings are optimized. Time to react, identify and rectify plant faults is crucial to performance. ENcome takes pride in their expertise to identifying issues and finding the most cost-effective means in resolving them, especially if it can be achieved remotely without attending site. BECAUSE WE CARE. PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION & SAFETY ENcome optimizes the performance of solar energy power plants via additional measures specifically targeted to customer requirements. From module cleaning to green keeping and spare part management, ENcome allows for a continuously high energy yield of solar energy power plants. Furthermore, secure operations and compliance with health & safety requirements are essential. If necessary, ENcome also takes action with regard to duty of care, such as snow clearance, the repair of force majeure or vandalism defects, etc. CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE Should such errors or downtimes occur nevertheless, the ENcome service team quickly reacts in order to minimize further downtimes and production losses. 6 7

5 ENGINEERING & ADVISORY The business segment Engineering & Advisory provides the comprehensive package of technical services regarding the realisation of a successful photovoltaic power project ranging from development and construction to the technical operation of PV power plants. These services are provided on the basis of longstanding expertise in basically the full range of disciplines surrounding photovoltaics. Clients benefit from valuable know-how, flexibility and individual support: INNOVATION ENcome means turning operational TECHNICAL DUE DILIGENCE AND TRANSACTION SERVICES Due diligence services and support in (re-) financing, acquisition and sale of photovoltaic power plants Advice on EPC and O&M technical contract terms as well as purchase price determination / negotiation Preparation of energy yield reports as well as analysis and evaluation of existing yield data Evaluation of plant design as well as existing documentation Assessment of technology and quality audits Evaluation of current national and international standards and regulations Warranty checks and insurance claims Detailed reporting and discussion with the client REPOWERING AND OPTIMIZATION Analysis and evaluation of as built -status (security system, power plant monitoring, components used, power plant configuration and performance, etc.) Development and realization of improvement and modernisation concepts Realization of repowering projects OWNERS & LENDERS ENGINEERING Project management and project lead to control and ensure quality, cost and schedule power plant configurations Construction supervision and technical acceptance with regular inspection of the construction site and reporting Preparation of snagging list including risk and cost assessment Verification of compliance with contract specifications and industry standards Quality audits Procurement Support ENGINEERING & DESIGN SERVICES Design to Operate approach Concept and detailed design considering construction and operation phases Complete range of detailed AutoCAD drawings ready for construction Electrical design for DC and AC including HV design down to the very detail to meet connection dates SCADA design that allows real-time control Health and Safety concepts Component selection and procurement support with decades of experience in purchasing EagleEye Electroluminescence (EL) Inspections to identify defects (e.g. micro cracks, hot spots etc.) inside the module and cell expertise in up-to-date methods of design as well as preventive and corrective maintenance activities. The application-based knowledge is transferred to different R&D projects. Teaming up with renowned research institutions ENcome turns the outcome into improved processes aiming for bestin-class design and KPIs in availability and performance to the benefit of customer. Major focus areas include but are not limited to the following: INTERPRETATION OF STRING MEASUREMENT RESULTS Understanding wide spread pv arrays is key to ensure high performance of solar energy power plants. We see lots of measurement activities in the O&M sector but rarely correct interpretation. Internal knowledge share within the team of solar experts helps us to draw the right conclusions and take well-timed preventive actions. HEALTH CHECKS FOR PV PANELS By use of up to date methods in visualization and assessment of module internal defects like cell cracks or Potential Induced Degradation (PID) in-house elelctroluminescence or UV- fluorescence measurements are applied. Again, correct interpretation of measurement results based on long-term experience helps to make the best out of these innovative imaging procedures. UNDERSTANDING OPERATIONAL REGIMES OF INVERTERS In-depth knowledge of normative requirements allows for improved operational behaviour of PV inverters in order to boost their availability. For example, a MW-generator s operation should not be stopped by a single rodent bite into a cable sheath. TRACKING TEMPERATURES In power electronics increased temperatures of today often indicate the failure of tomorrow. Knowledge of the most sensible points is key to observe and develop methods to track temperatures very cost efficiently. BIG DATA ANALYSIS Correct interpretation of monitoring data from the control center is essential to make operation results transparent. Big data analysis methods are increasingly applied to identify trends and find patterns that allow for the planning of predictive measures improving availability. 8 BECAUSE WE CARE. 9
