DataStage Family of Products: Can turn vast amounts of disparate, unrefined data into reusable information assets that drive business success Enables users to easily collect, validate, organize, administer, and deliver information assets to realize more value from their enterprise information Helps information-intensive companies create and manage scalable, complex, cross-platform, cross-application data integration infrastructures that are commonly found in vertical and horizontal applications such as CRM analytics, DSS enterprise application, and e-business Helps companies integrate, verify, understand, manage, and administer the lifecycle of information from collection to delivery The products in this announcement are available as a part of the IBM Developer Sales Channel Software Remarketing program. 2 Description DataStage provides extraction, transformation, and Loading (ETL) for client-server, mainframe environments, or mixed enterprises. It supports all three options with a single cross-platform interface. DataStage: Provides flexibility and compatibility with minimal investment Supports native data extractions and transformations from all major sources, including: Mainframe Web relational databases Packaged applications Offers design tools that can be used to define the ETL process The base DataStage product includes: One DataStage server Eight CPU compatible license Unlimited sources and targets Unlimited projects One DataStage Developer Seat XMLPACK and ClickPACK Version Control Multiple Job Instances DataStage/390 builds on the foundation of DataStage and provides name extract information and load capabilities for mainframe, UNIX, and Windows NT in one solution. It consolidates, collects, and centralizes information from various systems, particularly mainframes using native COBOL generation, in a single design environment. DataStage 390 also contains: DataStage 390 Runtime Libraries required for each OS/390 machine or partition where COBOL code generated by DataStage 390 will be executed DataStage XE extends beyond extracting and transforming data to include capabilities for managing the organization and quality of the data so that end users are assured of having timely, accurate, and relevant information for analysis and decision-making. Ordering Information New Licenses To order a basic license, specify the program number, feature number 9001 for asset registration, and the one-time charge () feature and the desired quantity (maximum 250) corresponding to the number of copies. Also, specify the feature number of the desired distribution medium. Product Support Charge (PSC): Customers can purchase product support for the DataStage products directly from Ascential Software, Inc. Product support entitles customers to defect support, product updates, upgrades, enhancements, new releases and extended warranty support as described in the Ascential Software, Inc. License Agreement. The PSC is recurring, with billing done by Ascential Software, Inc. The program supplier provides all program product services. No product support will be provided by Ascential Software, Inc. unless a support agreement is in effect.
