2 OVERVIEW When logged into InSync application, by default, you are landed on the Dashboard. There are two types of Dashboards: Clinical Dashboard and PM Dashboard A switch appears on the top right corner to switch between both the Dashboards. The Clinical Dashboard is provided with several helpful features, as well as shortcuts to various screens throughout the system. On the Clinical Dashboard, you will mainly find 4 navigations as explained below: A. Quadrants (Located in the center of the screen) B. Custom Icons on Top C. Bookmarks on Left D. 3 Quadrants: 1. The four Quadrants located in center of the screen are: Messages, To Dos, Appointment Requests, and Visit Overview. A. Messages: The internal staff members of the practice can communicate with one another through the Messages module. The Dashboard shows the counts of Unread, Total, and Sent Messages. B. To Dos: To Dos are patient-centric communications. Using the To Do feature, the user can communicate with internal staff members of the practice and with the patient portal users. The system also facilitates the users to send a To Do to a group of users within the practice. The Dashboard shows the counts of Unread and Sent To Dos. 4 C. Appointment Requests: InSync facilitates your patients to interact with the practice through the Patient Portal application. Whenever the patient portal user requests an appointment, it can be seen in the Appointment Requests section. You can then approve or decline the requests according to your availability. D. Visit Overview: Locate the appointments scheduled for the current day in this section. You can start the encounter from the Dashboard itself without accessing the Facesheet. All the appointments, Pending, Checked In, Waiting, and so forth appear in this section. If you want to see checked out appointments, you can select the check box provided in this section. 5 Custom Icons on Top: Custom icons appearing on the top of the Dashboard allow you access various areas of the application. This depends on the features you have purchased with InSync. 6 Co-Sign List (Last 30 days) This bookmark is available when the notes are entered by someone other than the provider and it must be co-signed (available if purchased) Encounter List (Last 30 days) Allows the user to view the encounters of the most recent 30 days. Based on the permissions, users can edit, delete, or end the encounters. Users can also view Encounter Notes and send them for co-signature to the senior provider. 7 Bookmarks in left pane: By default, the system shows some basic shortcuts such as Dashboard, Scheduler, New Charge, Payments, and so forth in left pane. You can customize this pane as per your requirements. Click the orange wheel icon at the bottom for customization. Icon Bookmark Name Bookmark Description Dashboard Scheduler Facesheet Patient Search Returns the user to the InSync Dashboard. Click to access the scheduler to book patient appointments. Also, view the schedulers in Day, Week, Global, or Patient view. Click to access the patient s Facesheet. Use the Facesheet to record encounter details. Many of the charting elements appear right there on the Facesheet for quick access. Search for a patient from the database quickly. 8 Document Manager Administration New Charge Payments Meaningful Use (MU) Checked In User Profile The actions performed on the patient during charting or billing, are stored in the Document Manager. It s a tool that maintains the EMR/PM documentation in an organized fashion. You can search for a specific document using search criteria. Mainly used by the practice administrators to manage the practice, facility, resources (providers and staff), users, and insurance details. Click to create the charge (claim) for the patient. When the patient does not have any appointment booked or encounter details recorded, a charge can be generated from the New Charge screen. Click to record patient and insurance payments. Takes the user to the Meaningful Use Center, where one can search by provider/date range and view each provider s progress in meeting various MU measures. On every checked in appointment, a provider hears a beep sound with a number in the bubble. Medical Assistants / Nurses receives this notification for the providers they have selected. Locate the orange wheel icon when accessing the Dashboard. Click this icon to customize the bookmarks. Call for customer service or us at support@insynchcs.com. Page 8 of 10

9 Menu Bar Navigation: The InSync menu bar can now be accessed by clicking the arrow of these menu items allow users to do the following: located at the bottom left. Each Patients Scheduler Charting Billing Add/Update Patient Demographic Details, Send Patient Forms to patient portal users, Merge Patients and so forth. Manage Patient Appointments, Locate the patient s exact location in practice, and so forth. Access all the charting modules, such as Chief Complaints/HPI, Problem List, Vitals, History, Medications/Allergies, ROS, Immunizations, Health Maintenance, Results/Orders Queue, Physical Exam, Diagnosis, Treatment Plan, Review of Results, Therapy Notes, and Supplementary. This is a Practice Management tool. Used to create charge, post payments, electronic remittance, claims processing, online payments, and so forth. 10 Reports Administration Tools Generate a variety of reports, including Scheduler reports, Patient reports, Utilization reports, Financial reports, Aging reports, Payer reports, Reconciliation reports, Billing reports, and Audit reports. Set up roles and permissions for the practice users as per your needs. Configuration for charting elements, scheduler, and billing items are done in the Administration section. Configure the following items from the Tools section: Fax Queue, Encrypt / Decrypt Message, My Time Card, Time Card Manager, , Document Manager, and Incident Reporting Form.
