1 What is INCHEQS INCHEQS is a complete system for cheque clearing for Clearing House and its participants. The INCHEQS CTS is a cheque truncation system for Clearing Houses to convert physical movement of cheques to a Image based - Automated Clearing House (ACH). INCHEQS also caters for the clearing requirement of participating banks such as Outward Clearing System (INCHEQS OCS) for Collecting banks and Inward Clearing System (INCHEQS ICS) for Paying banks. Besides the clearing system, INCHEQS also provides a centralised Signature Database System (SDS) to act as a central repository of the banks/fi signatures database. This is for storage and retrieval of customers signature for Current/Saving Accounts, Credit Card, LOANS, Safe Deposit Boxes and etc. Signatures can be separated into Accounts or CIF Based retrieval. Cheque Fraud mitigation is provided by the INCHEQS Positive Pay System (PPS) and INCHEQS Automatic Technical Verification (INCHEQS ATV). INCHEQS PPS keeps a permanent database of all cheque issued by the Bank and it customers. Any cheque that comes in for clearing are checked against this database for possible fraud, post-dated, paid status or cheque already stale. INCHEQS ATV provides a a robotic function to check the cheque image CALA matching, Payee Validation, cheque date verifications, signature verifications (future) and UV fraud detection. INCHEQS is already supported in the following countries : Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and coming to your country. INCHEQS is entirely web-based and can thus be deployed over multiple branches, allowing for cost effectiveness, ease of deployment, training, and flexible workflow.

Provides a single view of cheque information, images and signature for ease of Verifications Works in conjunctions with INCHEQS PPS, SDS and ATV to provide a seamless process flow from Banks Clearing Centre to Branches and onwards to ACH Supports all types of bank host integrations ( Silverlake, Finacle, Temenos, Mysis, TCS, etc..) 5 3. INCHEQS Outward Clearing System (OCS) A web-based system for Outward Cheque Clearing and Inward Return legs of the Cheque Clearing Process. Supports multiple processing models - centralized and decentralized (Hub and Spoke) models. No installations required on the client workstations except for Web-browsers and cheque scanner interface for workstations responsible for capturing. Multi-tier architecture which promotes security, flexibility, and performance INCHEQS Outward Clearing System (OCS) 4. INCHEQS House Cheque System (HCS) A module to process in-house cheques where the payer and the beneficiary accounts reside within the same bank. Direct verify and process from INCHEQS OCS to ICS. Allow intraday cheque verification and generate multiple batch for posting. 5. INCHEQS Electronic Fund Transfer Network (EFTN) A module to facilitate the transmission of payments between the banks electronically, which makes it faster and efficient means of inter-bank clearing over the existing paper-based system.

7 7. INCHEQS Positive Pay System (PPS) Runs on the same platform as INCHEQS ICS and shares the same database to facilitate the positive pay in inward clearing process at the bank. Intelligent Character Recognition engine to handle the scanning of the cheque images for the Payee name, MICR code, Date of cheque, CALA matching User configurable template for capturing for information on the cheque image. 8 8. INCHEQS Signature Database System (SDS) Repository of customer signatures and conditions and provides a central solution to scan new signatures and signing conditions. Proven Solution - able to maintain more than 100 million signature in the system. Data integrity, synchronize customer account information from bank host. Provide a web-based application for Central Processing Unit and branches to view cheques and customer signatures in a single screen. Integration and automation of signature conditions checking at the same screen. Direct updates into centralized database. 9 9. INCHEQS Image Quality Assurance (IQA) To ensure scanned image of the cheques are not distorted in any manner such as oversized image, folded, or torn cheques. The images of the cheques are checked for clarity, completeness and readability for future verification and reconciliation purposes.
