39 TPIMS IDOT Truck Parking Information Management System - Focused on IDOT Public Rest Areas Will include: Automated Truck Parking Count Cameras to verify Truck Parking Improved Video Security Electronic Information Kiosks Provide data via Websites and Truckers Apps

40 TPIMS Two primary ways to determine available parking at a rest area. In/Out Counting - Stall Occupancy Detection -

41 Detection Technology Inductive Loops often used for traffic signal detection. TPIMS Pavement Magnetometers (Pucks) which can include Infrared or Radio Sensors.

42 TPIMS Detection Technology Video Analytics including Image Detection and Automated Vehicle License Plate Readers.

44 TPIMS We will use IDOT traveler information websites and 3rd party Apps to disseminate the information. This information will include parking availability and camera snapshots.

51 Fiber Management Next Steps Develop standard process to aid staff in adding new inventory. Continue working adding existing inventory. Update standard provisions (include GPS point location).
