Manufacturing Environment ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLY Many of the complex fabricated assemblies that we produce require the addition of electrical and/or electronic components to achieve their full functionality. We maintain a fully-equipped electrical assembly and test department, staffed by the industry s finest electromechanical assembly, test, and inspection personnel. RK Controls assembly staff is equipped with the machinery, skills and experience to provide first-class assembly support to any program. Tools and equipment calibrated to NIST-reference standards ESD-protected area (electro-static discharge) ENGINEERING SUPPORT Though RK Controls is primarily a build-to-print fabricator, we pride ourselves in offering engineering support that makes us a true partner to our customers. RK Controls degreed mechanical and electrical engineers can assist in the conceptual phase of product development, helping assure product integrity and low cost by design. Because we are actually distributors of the products we use, and in addition to the direct 30% reduction in material cost to our customers, we can often offer assistance concerning: Manufacturability Material Selection Cost Reduction Quality Improvement CAD SUPPORT We ve deployed the industries best CAD Systems, both for our own in-house use, and to support our customers needs. Having these systems in house allows us to accept our customers engineering data directly, without translation in most cases. We also support electronic file exchange via our secure FTP site. VENDOR MANAGED INVENTORY With today s constant economic pressure to lower inventory levels without adversely affecting lead times, many of our customers have established a partnership with us to package, inventory, and ship their products on demand.
