Visual Exploration Visual Exploration allows Qlik Sense users to change properties of visualizations and object, such as sort order and coloring, without having to enter edit mode. This allows users to change properties of charts during analysis through a simplified menu without having to have edit priviledges. Visual Search Qlik Sense Visual Search allows users to search across all of their charts as well as their data. For example, users can search for sales to find all charts which have sales included in them or search for bar to find all barcharts. Search results are returned as visual thumbnails of the charts and objects as well as matching values in the dataset itself. What s New at Qlik 1

2 Time Aware Charts Qlik Sense now provides intelligent recognition and representation of time series data in charts and graphs through a new line chart object. The chart will automatically display the entire time period as a continuous dimension even when some periods have no data. More chart types will follow. Calculation Conditions Qlik Sense now provides the ability to set thresholds on visualizations to control when they will be calcualted based on a set of conditions. Variables Qlik sense now enables app creators to define and set values for use across an application. In addition to ensuring consistency across the app and ease of maintenance for variable values, this feature provides broader access to what-if scenarios.. Smart Data Compression Smart data compression in Qlik Sense scatter plots allows summarization of millions of data points without losing patterns and meaning in the data. This unique compression algorithm summarizes massive data sets, showing data density and highlighting hotspots. Numerous UI Improvements Throughout the year many changes have been made to the UI of our products in order to ensure the best experience for our users. In addition to general look and feel refinement, this has included such things as improved suggestion and ranking in Smart Serarch. Data Smart Data Load & Visual Data Preparation We have invested significantly in self-service data preparation capabilities. Qlik Sense provides built in intelligence and a new visual method of joining data together intended to make data modeling more accessible to non technical users without having to manually define data relationships. The intelligent profiling determines the best associations across multiple data sources and suggests them to the user. On Demand App Generation (ODAG) ODAG allows users to intuitively analyze Big Data by generating new Qlik Sense or QlikView apps on the fly based on their selections in a template app. Both Qlik Sense and QlikView now include built in examples of how to leverage existing APIs to get more value from their Big Data investments. Qlik DataMarket With Qlik DataMarket users can access a comprehensive library of free and subscription-based external data directly within Qlik Sense and QlikView to allow users to augment and cross reference their internal data to gain context and drive deeper insights. Packages include demographic, geographic, economic, currency, and weather data. Most recently, subscription based data has been made available for Stocks and Indices and Company Financial Reports.

3 User Data Upload Qlik Sense Enterprise enables more self-service visualization by allowing users to upload datasets from their desktop to the server. This ensures that app creation occurs within the managed environment and that the data is not disjointed from the analysis. Automatic Calendaring Qlik Sense will automatically recognize dates and create a number of time based fields on your behalf including year, quarter, month, week, and more. This not only saves you time and effort but also ensures consistency of data formats across multiple apps. Qlik Connectors A new RESTful API connector, updated SFDC connector and a consolidated set of ODBC drivers are just a few of the connector improvements that have taken place over the past year. In addition, Qlik announced the acquisition of Industrial Codebox, the creators of QVSource and now offers over 20 new connectors for web based services and applications. Cloud Qlik Sense Cloud Basic Create and share your fully interactive Qlik Sense apps with up to 5 people all for free. No time limits, no trial period, no catches. Qlik Sense Cloud Plus Add unlimited sharing and more for a nominal monthly fee. Qlik Sense Cloud Plus provides increased app size and data storage as well as access to the Qlik DataMarket Essentials data package. Reporting Printing Qlik Sense Sheets & Stories Qlik Sense users can now print/export objects, sheets and data stories directly to PDF or PowerPoint. This allows users to share their stories in a portable format facilitating increased collaboration. Qlik NPrinting Qlik NPrinting provides organizations with the ability to create MS Office and pixel perfect reports using analytics from Qlik Sense and QlikView. Reports can be delivered through a number of channels including the new Newstand portal and the Qlik Sense Unified Hub.
