6 Conveyor Demo The Conveyor demo is a multi-technology display promoting technologies from across Rexroth s product portfolio. Our uniquely-designed aluminum structural framing and TS2 plus palletized assembly conveyor represent assembly technology offerings. CKK Compact modules three combined linear axes create a Cartesian robot for automated assembly using components from Rexroth s linear motion products. The Indradrive Mi from our automation solutions gives the system a cabinet free design. The entire system is controlled by a Rexroth XM22 PLC with a Safety PLC with Safe Torque and Safe Motion and incorporates an open PLC platform that can communicate in many different ways. When viewing the system as a whole, including the sensors, controls, RFID, and other data-transfer and communication devices, the conveyor demo is a backbone to i4.0 The system has an on-board IoT Gateway that can display any parameter on the system as well as communicate with other devices and display their data Designed with an energy-efficient pre-engineered building block Predictive maintenance capabilities with the IoT Gateway and sensors i4.0 data can be collected and shared with other systems for manufacturing transparency Automated or manual assembly High-precision, pallet based assembly conveyor system for payloads up to 240kg Automotive, electronics, medical device, consumer goods, machine tool, HVAC, etc. 6

7 ActiveMover Transfer System The ActiveMover is a linear motor transfer system that moves magnetic pallets at high speed with incredible accuracy. It is a pre-engineered solution that provides a user-friendly programming environment. The ActiveMover has built-in collision avoidance and allows interfacing with nearly any PLC. The ActiveMover can control pallets individually at speeds over 2.5 meters/second with automatic pallet pitching. Live data from the Mechatronics demo will be shown using Bosch IoT Cloud as well as Microsoft Azure. Additionally, WebConnector will display live data via the IoT Gateway. 2 WebConnector is an interface for Web developers to establish a process connection to the world of automation. 1 IoT Gateway is an integrated hardware with software communication solution for easy connection to Industry 4.0 environments without intervention in automation logic. 15 LT Design Software The Linear Motion Designer (LMD) is the calculation program for Rexroth s Profiled Rail Systems and screw assemblies. It covers the complete range of roller and ball rail systems as well as Ball and Planetary Screw Assemblies. A modern interface with extended help and safety functions simplifies operation and quickly leads to optimum results. LinSelect software allows design engineers to find the optimal linear axes and actuators from around 100,000 possible Rexroth product variants in just five steps. The new selection tool completes the digital workflow from product selection right through to ordering in the Rexroth eshop. Here, selecting complete axes and actuators extends beyond the mechanicals; it also encompasses suitable Rexroth motors and drive controllers. 16 16 Ergospin & Production Tools The ErgoSpin is designed according to the latest findings in ergonomics and fits the user s hand like a glove. The ergonomics of the handle, its lighter weight, and the optimum arrangement of operating and display elements increase worker productivity. ErgoSpin s angle head has a non-interchangeable code and can be turned and locked in 15-degree steps. Production Tools are handheld wireless clutch-based technology for industrial manufacturing applications. 17 Nexo Wireless Tools with Worker Guidance Nexo Wireless DC Intelligent fastening technology for industrial production applications where safety or function critical fastening is needed. Its flexible software package provides an interactive interface for worker guidance, assembly instructions, error proofing, documentation, data collection, and user feedback. Nexo s integrated controller and open WiFi interfaces make it ideal for wireless connection to other devices such as the worker guidance software, cloud, or local network. 19 VarioFlow plus VarioFlow plus is a flexible, modular plastic chain conveyor system used for moving high volume packaged goods and other consumer goods, such as packaged foods, pharmaceuticals, healthcare products. In other applications, workpiece pallets are used to convey products where positioning or higher precision is needed. VarioFlow plus can be used to move products horizontally, vertically, on incline or decline, overhead, sub-floor, around obstacles and over long distances.
