1 To: Subject: ReliabilityFirst Compliance Contacts 2017 ReliabilityFirst Compliance Program Update Letter August Update For your convenience, the ReliabilityFirst (RF) Data Submittal Schedule is attached to this monthly compliance program update letter. The Data Submittal Schedule and this update letter are both posted on the RF website at Compliance Schedules. Reminder to Update Entity Compliance Contacts in web CDMS July is always a great time to remind our Registered Entities to review, verify and update all Compliance Contacts in webcdms. When making any changes to compliance contacts and/or users throughout the year due to retirements, changes to staff responsibilities, or other reasons, Registered Entities should also make the necessary changes to their compliance contacts and webcdms users list to keep all information current. This will ensure that the appropriate contact continues to receive important compliance information and notifications from RF and NERC throughout the year, without interruption. Conversely, Registered Entities should deactivate any individual that was previously a compliance contact, but no longer needs to be a compliance contact in webcdms (e.g., changed positions, left the company). RF would also like to remind our Registered Entities that they must, at all times, have a Primary Compliance Contact (PCC) and Authorizing Officer (AO) designated as compliance contacts in webcdms. These are NERC required roles and this contact information is synced to NERC so it can be used to contact Registered Entities directly, if needed. If you make any changes to one or more of the contact roles at your company, please make sure that you immediately designate another individual for that role so there is no gap in the assignment for the PCC or AO at your company. Finally, if an individual at your company currently does not receive the RF monthly Compliance Program Update letter and asks to start receiving them, the Primary Compliance Contact is responsible for adding the individual as a new compliance contact (Primary Compliance Contact-Alternate) in web CDMS. Since mailing lists for all compliance contacts are maintained in webcdms, once the individual is added to that list, he or she will begin receiving the monthly Compliance Program update letters.
