3 VAST Online Overview For the past 15 years, the VAST point of sale program has been an industry leading solution used by many of the most successful tire & auto service dealers in North America. MAM is very proud to introduce the latest version of VAST, VAST Online. Over the past two and a half years, we have re-built VAST from the ground up. VAST Online is MAM s browser-based version of VAST Enterprise business management and point of sale software. It includes all your favorite VAST features, PLUS: New Modern User Interface that can be run from anywhere VAST Online is browser-based so the latest version is always at your fingertips and accessible from anywhere. We have maintained a familiar workflow that thousands of users are comfortable with and have loved for years. The result is a modern user interface that runs in a browser and works smoothly on desktop or tablet. Ditch the servers at your location Gone are the days of maintaining servers and needing to manually upgrade software, load catalog CD s, and perform data backups. As a cloud solution, these updates and back-ups happen automatically and seamlessly in VAST Online. Simply having an internet connection and any modern client device will give you access. You can feel safe that your data will be protected. Data will be stored on Microsoft s enterprise Azure platform, which has more security certifications than any other cloud provider. Improved connectivity to Goodyear & to Goodyear WD s VAST Online provides enhanced integration with Goodyear National account, Government Deliveries and tire adjustments. It also connects to Goodyear & Goodyear WDs for real-time tire inquiry and electronic ordering. Integration to top accounting software VAST Online's General Ledger and Accounts Payable integrate seamlessly into either QuickBooks or Dynamics GP. Page 3 of 12

6 Hardware - Overview Your current GBMS server will no longer be needed. Your VAST Online subscription includes hosting services to our cloud server farm which takes the place of the store server. Your current GBMS workstations will operate with VAST Online at a speed we believe will not be acceptable. We suggest that you use any desktop PC that meets our minimum requirements or you purchase new workstations from a local provider. 7 Goodyear Dealer Conversion MAM Software will work with dealers to convert them from their current on-premise GBMS system to a centralized VAST Online solution. The conversion will include data files for customers, invoices, parts, etc. The conversion/implementation process will commence after the sales order for VAST Online is processed. The process will start by having an implementation specialist work with you to define a project timeline, define which files will be converted when and what seed data will be required prior to conversion. 8 Timeline for Conversion Once the contract with MAM is signed and returned to MAM, the dealer will be added to the Implementation project plan and assigned an Implementation Manager. The Implementation Manager will undertake a Business Process Review (BPR). The BPR will cover but is not limited to: National Account Processing Pricing Policies Commission Structure Accounts Receivable Tire Replenishment (WD or G3X) Employees/VAST Online user security Credit Card Processing Inventory/Product File Dealers will no longer be restricted to GBMS codes for service and foreign brand tires Training Needs The Implementation Manager & Dealer establish Project Timeline Receive initial dealer GBMS Data from Goodyear to establish VAST Online Seed Data Dealers will then have access to their data to validate it and manage duplicates and bad data. VAST Online System Configuration and Seed Data Load The customer is responsible for part number validation between GBMS and VAST Online Coordinate the GBMS Conversion with Goodyear, the Dealer and the Implementation Manager Training will take place on the MAM Learning Management System and sandbox. Once the System & Network Configuration, Seed Data Load, Data Conversion Mapping are all successful and the Dealer has completed training, a Go-Live date will be set. Timeline for Go-Live The day before go-live, the final GBMS End of Day (B50) will be run and the file sent to Goodyear Corporate. Network Switch to dealer own network completed. Credit card devices will be moved to the Dealer selected Credit Card Provider Dealer data will be converted and imported into the central VAST Online server. Dealer validates converted data and go-live checklist is completed The store will open with the new VAST Online solution. Page 8 of 12

9 Dealer Training MAM Software will train dealers converting from the GBMS system to the VAST Online solution. The training package will include a combination of remote instructor led training webinars, online based recorded training in the MAM Learning Management System (LMS), MAM instructor led regional training classes, as well as comprehensive documentation. Training will cover the aspects of the system the associate needs to perform their job. Quick reference guides will also be made available to dealers for use in the various areas of the business. Additional training services are available including onsite training, go-live onsite support and a customized LMS curriculum setup for your specific needs can be contracted at an additional charge throughout the conversion process. 1. After signing on with MAM the dealer will be added to the Implementation project plan and assigned an Implementation Manager. 2. Dealers will then have access to LMS for training and documentation resources. a. LMS will provide multiple training tracks including but not limited to: i. Management/Owner covering maintenance and configuration of VAST Online ii. POS iii. Inventory Management iv. Accounts Receivable 3. Remote training with the Implementation team will take place based on your schedule. 4. A regional MAM instructor lead class schedule will be provided. 5. Access to the VAST Online sandbox will be made available. 6. The VAST Online quick reference guide will be made available 7. All dealers will be required to train on the VAST Online software and then practice in the sandbox environment. LMS Training will track successful completion of subject matter coverage and completion of prerequisite VAST Online modules will move users onto new areas of training. Previous modules of the software training will always be accessible for review through the LMS. 8. Once all training is complete a go-live date will be set. 9. The Implementation Manager will be available for the training, go-live process and post go-live support. 10. The support team will be available to cover all time zones Page 9 of 12

10 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs): Q When can dealers migrate to the new VAST Online application? A The software is scheduled to be available for Goodyear dealers in late Q2/Q Q What if dealers do not want to convert to the new VAST Online application? A You have the option to convert to any other Point-of-sale solution. GBMS, including the network, will only be supported through the completion of the VAST Online roll out. The GBMS end date will be communicated by Goodyear at a later date. Q Will dealers still be responsible for their current hardware lease with Goodyear? A Yes. You will continue to receive a monthly invoice from Goodyear for the remainder of the term of your lease. Q Will the GBMS Help Desk continue to support the new VAST Online solution? A Once locations convert to VAST Online, you will contact the MAM support team directly for all issues. The GBMS Help Desk will continue to offer the same level of support, which is currently provided, until all locations have been converted. Q Will GBMS continue to make enhancements until the VAST solution is available? A Goodyear will not make any enhancements, however they will fix bugs and make legal changes to GBMS where needed. Q Will the system be available for dealers in Canada? A The current version of VAST is available in Canada with the exception of French Quebec, although the initial release may not support all Canadian taxation functionality. Future releases will support all non-quebec provincial and federal sales tax capabilities. Q We also do wholesale business as well as retail. Will VAST Online allow me to perform wholesale transactions? Can I run my wholesale operation on VAST Online? A Yes, the initial release will contain functionality to facilitate wholesale transactions. Q - We are also a TirePros dealer with ATD as well as a G3X dealer. Are you endorsed by ATD within their TirePros program? A Yes, VAST is an endorsed product with ATD for their Tire Pros program. Q - I am a G3X dealer. Will national account credits pass electronically to me from my Goodyear WD? A Yes, although this will be available initially only with ATD and US Autoforce. Q - We are a commercial retreader, will VAST Online interface with GTracs? A Yes, VAST Online will be interfaced with GTracs Q - How is the TireHQ different with VAST Online compared to how VAST currently works A The current version of VAST using a batch process where data is sent to TireHQ and you are required to import that data using a separate function. VAST Online will support Web-services and the process will be automated requiring no user operation for importing and exporting. Page 10 of 12

11 Q - Will Accounts Payable and General Ledger data be converted? A - No, A/P & G/L data will not be converted Q - What happens with the old GBMS server? A - The GBMS server will be disconnected. The use or disposal of GBMS server is at the discretion of the dealer. GBMS Server will not be supported by Goodyear or MAM after conversion.
