7 Case Study: Implementation & Integration Support Challenge : Southwestern Energy needed to implement a new ERP across departments and to replace their existing system. They engaged Kastech to implement Enterprise Upstream, as well as integrate it with TEL and Oracle EBS. VG also architected more robust reporting and solutions for management and operations, while scaling team size and utilizing an onsite/remote deliery model according to project requirements, allowing our team to perform the work at 30% of the cost of a traditional deliery model. Results : The implementation in Joint Venture Accounting (Finance), Production Management, Reenue/Settlement, and Partner Balancing (Operations) departments resulted in huge cost saings throughout the company. 8 Case Study : DBA Support & Application Deelopment Client Challenge : After their IT Operations shifted from the Middle East to India, Petrofac UK, a leading oilfield serice company, needed to become more proactie in their enterprise and contracted VG to support their Oracle EBS infrastructure. In order to keep pace with increasing globalization, they also contracted VG to deelop extensions for their Oracle systems and implement Golden Gate. Results : VG proided DBA support, aapplied patches, monitored day-to-day actiities, and enhanced performance for the oerall infrastructure. 9 Case Study : Customization & Application Deelopment Client Challenge: Noble Energy engaged Kastech to build a web-based interface to Oracle E-business suite to interface GL Forms with the Filenet web serice in order to better enable Enterprise Asset Management. This custom interface would to store files and get back the URL of these files to Oracle forms. To achiee Noble s goals, VG incorporated interfacing different software elements, implementing customizations and extensions for EAM, and upgrading Oracle to Release 12. Results: The Oracle GL to FileNet integration was extremely successful, saing the company $3.2 million in operational cost. Noble is now looking to expand this support to additional modules. VG has supported the functionality of all interfaces, including Oracle R12.
