25 Abstract: Spotfire is an independent software vendor (ISV) that leverages the Oracle technology platform to provide interactive visual analysis software. Spotfire DecisionSite s interactive visual analytics speeds data analysis for decision-makers across the organization, helping them make decisions faster, more easily and with increased confidence. In this eseminar, we will show you how data analysis groups in research and development such as cheminformatics, bioinformatics, and computational chemistry can leverage Oracle technologies with Spotfire s DecisionSite 8.0. We will show how DecisionSite's Information Services provides unified access to your data through an intuitive information model where users can perform ad-hoc querying using easy pointand-click Information Links. Information Links give users role-based access to data without the need to know query languages or underlying database schemas and take advantage of many Oracle features including Oracle Chemical Cartridge integration, SQL functions for data manipulation, and row level security for data retrieved for analysis. We will present how DecisionSite s high-impact visualization and analytic capabilities incorporating Oracle technologies let users examine the chemical and biological dimensions of their data and perform a wide array of numerical and structural analysis. We will show how to capture the ad hoc analysis processes from an organization s domain experts for sharing in re-usable Guided Analytic Applications and how DecisionSite Posters make analytic decisions a core company asset.
