6 HotBackup: State of the art protection for your Tabs3 and PracticeMaster programs and data. (Automatically) 6 Allows users to make a backup while others continue to work. A backup scheduler lets you choose the times and days to run the HotBackup. Optional notifications let you know whether or not each HotBackup completes successfully. Full control of the location of the backup files and the number maintained.

7 Auto-Recovery: Takes a snapshot of your data as certain critical processes begin, avoiding a data restore in the event of power loss or lost network connectivity. 7 A stabilizing enhancement called Transaction Processing, which provides greater protection from data file corruption when performing critical tasks such as, Update Statements. Platinum eliminates the need to backup for many of these functions. If the process is interrupted at any point before completion, the software will use the snapshot to roll back the transaction so that no error occurs.

8 Log Off Users: Safely log off users to easily do maintenance work such as installing updates. 8 There are often times when all users must exit Tabs3 and PracticeMaster, i.e. software updates, server maintenance, etc. In multi-user versions resetting the user simply removes the user from the Active User List; it does not close the software properly. The Log Off feature in the Platinum version avoids this issue. The Log Off Users function displays a popup message with a countdown, giving users the opportunity to save what they are working on. If the user is not at their desk at the time, the system simply logs them off safely.

9 Accelerators: Platinum's Accelerator technology speeds up reports 10 to 30 times faster compared to multi-user versions. 9 To increase the speed of common reports, Platinum uses Accelerators. Accelerators process reports on the server, rather than on your computer. For example, firms with large amounts of data can run a report that would currently take 30 seconds in as little as 1 second. Reducing the data that needs to travel over the network results in much faster report processing, and less network traffic. Accelerators work the same way to provide significant improvements to filtering, sorting and other multi-user functions.

13 Advanced Reporting: The power of the Platinum server software and server side processing makes the following data intensive Tabs3 reports available: Accounts Receivable by Timekeeper Report: 13 Lists all clients with receivables by any working timekeeper, or range of working timekeepers, regardless of the primary, secondary or originating timekeeper. Allows a timekeeper to filter clients to include only those clients that the timekeeper worked on. Reporting by working timekeeper helps you see which attorneys may need collections assistance, and it makes it easier to determine how much each working timekeeper is currently owed. Detail Accounts Receivable Report: The option to include detail information for fees and costs, allowing you to view aged receivables for each working timekeeper and cost type.
