The Retail POS is available both as a Desktop and hub-and-spoke deployment. When deployed centrally with outlets connected through web-access, it supports synchronization of Outlet data with Central Office. The key features available in Purlynt Retail POS system can be summarized into the following distinct Retail POS Enablement processes: ITEM & PRICING CONFIGURATION: Each product is defined as an item and sale price can be defined at the Central Location. Item pricing module will have facility to define the sales price at each item level and for each location or combination of locations. This definition is done at the Central Location and is synchronized with each Outlet level POS module. Item pricing can be updated through central and desktop system. Feature is available to define discount element and its applicability clauses. STOCK TRANSFER: Items required at the outlets are captured through Item request screen at the outlet level which goes as request to Central Stores. Items are issued against the Requests and link is maintained in the Warehouse/Stores Module at the Central location. Receipt screen at the outlet level helps to capture the information of received items which automatically updates the stock at the location. POS SALES & PAYMENT: Customer picks up the purchase item from rack / collects from sales staff and goes to sales counter with purchase item for billing. Cashier scans the purchase item, once scanning is over; system generates total sales value of transactions. Customer pays by Cash, Card, and Vouchers. The sales transactions end with paid status. Sales transactions can be updated through Barcode, Touch screen or manual entry methods. If required, Cashier can hold and recall the sales transactions. DATA SYNCHRONIZATION: In those locations where there is a bandwidth or connectivity issue, there will be a facility to store the transaction data for the day and the same can be integrated with Central Instance on a daily basis at the end of the day operation. It can be automated through schedule process. Integration with the Central Instance at a high level happens on the following: Receipt of items in POS against delivery from Distribution Centre. Sales & Sales return details. Finished goods with price details STORE CLOSING: System supports to close the sales at each shift or for the day. If there is a requirement for both the options, it is possible to enable. 3 Retail POS Process Flow Purlynt Retail POS module integrates a complete retail sales process starting from item creation to till Sales & Payment receipt in single login. Customer goes to sales counter with purchase item for billing, Cashier scan all purchase items using barcode reader that system keeps an running total of item scanned, it indicates all has been entered then cashier generates total price for the transaction. Customer pays cost of transaction by cash / Card / and Voucher. Cashier enters amount received from customer to the system, it indicates total has been paid after that cashier prints the receipt of transaction and hands over receipt to customer Page 3
