AccuCare Release Notes 9.8C This version of AccuCare includes updates for Billing, Medication Management and Chart Management, as well as other enhancements and bug fixes. New Features 1. Medication Management AccuCare now has the capability to manage client medications, problems, allergies as well as place orders through E-Prescribe functionality. There is also a detailed Medication and Allergy report that can be filed and signed to the client s chart. Additionally, a Medication Dispensing form can be printed to aid in the administration of client medications.

2. Billing: Main Menu Improvements to Billing include a new main menu for easier navigation and workflow. 3. Billing: Claims Management A new Claims Management feature allows billing users to see the status of each service, including: Whether a claim has been created/submitted, if the payer has acknowledged the claim (electronic only) or whether the payer has accepted/rejected the claim (electronic only) Claims Management also allows billing users to print a Client Billing Information report that shows the client s name and insurance information for use when calling the payer, as well as see a saved copy of the claim, with the transaction data persisted as it was at the moment the claim was created.

4. Billing: Payment Processing The Payment Processing feature allows billing users to batch-enter payments from a payer, with rapid data entry and balancing of totals against the master remittance advice provided. 5. Chart Management: Forms Library AccuCare now has a Form Library that can be used to upload any standard forms or documents in PDF, JPG or GIF format. All uploads to the Form Library will be accessible to users and can be filed and electronically signed to the client s chart. Users can quickly add a form to a client s chart (instead of always having to upload from the hard disk)

Enhancements and Bug Fixes REMINDER: It is recommended that you are operating the AccuCare Web system on Internet Explorer 9 or higher, Firefox or Chrome. Some features in AccuCare are not supported in older browsers, therefore may not function properly. Row Selection o Users can now select records by directly clicking on a row (as opposed to using only the select checkbox) in the Assessment, Follow Up, and MHSIP modules. Print After Filing o When filing a document from one of AccuCare s clinical modules, users now have the option to print the record (with signatures) immediately after filing. IHS National Data Warehouse Changes o Session Types now have an NDW Export flag to control whether notes of that type should be submitted to the NDW. If using the NDW Export functionality, SuperAdmins will need to set this flag as appropriate for their session types (including existing ones). This flag will show up as a new column on the Session Type Setup report. o The client s most recent ICD-9 diagnosis from Axis I in the assessment will be included in the NDW export. If the client does not have an ICD-9 diagnosis in Axis I, the client and his/her notes will not be exported. This change enables workload population reporting for the NDW (without the diagnosis, the client/visits are not counted). System Option Obscure SSN/Tribal Enrollment Number on Reports o SuperAdmins can now configure AccuCare (via System Options) to show or hide the client s Social Security Number and/or Tribal Enrollment Number. This option will be turned on by default upon release. If enabled, all but the last two digits of the number will be obscured. This change affects all of AccuCare s printed reports, but does not affect the UI. Transaction Register Edit Claim Control Number and Frequency Type o In the Transaction Register, users can now edit the Claim Control Number and Frequency Type fields when a service has payments applied (this was previously disabled). This allows users to submit a corrected secondary electronic claim. Overpaid Services in Billing o When recording payments against transactions in the Billing module, services can now have a dollar amount greater than the service applied. This will allow customers to properly record double or extra payments from insurance companies when they occur.

o o Overpaid status should be properly reflected on Billing and Accounting Reports Overpaid status counts as a missing info status to prevent creation of a further claim Client QuickSearch o Added a new type of client search to the AccuCare UI. This operates on a search-as-youtype basis, rather than the traditional search/display all UI. The new client search is currently in use in the Service and Payment Processing modules for Billing as well as the Medication Management module. Added Fiscal Year 2015 income eligibility rules for the Illinois DARTS supplements and DASA export. Discharge Summary now allows the entry of up to 8000 characters in the Diagnosis Axis II text area. Bug Fixes: The initials, name, title, supervisor name, and supervisor title of the user logged in now get saved to the follow up record immediately upon creation of the questionnaire. Previously, if a user backed out/closed the browser without saving the general life area, the data would not get saved. Fixed an issue where the total message count was not being properly calculated in IHS NDW export files. Community Outreach Prevention Reports (individual as well as aggregate) now properly show the Agency ID. Fixed an errant page submit/refresh when attempting to print a client schedule from Client Intake. Corrected an issue in Progress Notes that would prevent users from editing their own notes in some situations.
