The Virtual Mill consists of engineering database and documents, which together with an integratable 3D-model define the real plant. These can be fluently integrated to other plant systems such as maintenance system. With web user interface all stake holders can access information and documents. Picture 1: The Virtual Mill Concept 1 SERVICE CONTENTS The Virtual Mill can be created during the normal engineering project or an existing plant can be converted into the form of a Virtual Mill. The Virtual Mill comprises all the phases of a plant from design, engineering, construction, installation and start-up to operation and maintenance.

2 2 Virtual Mill servers are at the Client s premises and they can use all Virtual Mill tools from their own server. All other engineering and system maintenance are done through the Internet connection. Virtual Mill s applications developed by Pöyry are: 1.1 ProElina The engineering data managed with ProElina comprises the technical and functional model of the plant. The plant model includes mechanical, process, electrical, instrument and automation engineering information. Engineering with ProElina is based on templates and libraries which increases efficiency and enables integrity of engineering data. ProElina is based on Oracle database. 1.2 Jalina Jalina is a web-based tool for managing process and loop-wise functional descriptions. Jalina can be customized to meet the Client environment. 1.3 ModeACAD ModeACAD is a set of applications for AutoCAD drawing covering all engineering disciplines and used document types. ModeACAD is based on standard AutoCAD application. 1.4 UserReports UserReports is a reporting application offering standardised and yet customised reports from Virtual Mill s engineering database. Data in different revisions of reports can be fluently compared with highlighted modifications made to the earlier versions. UserReports is based on MS Access and Excel applications. 1.5 WebPub WebPub is a web-based user interface to the Virtual Mill offering the users with a view to all plant related up-to-date information and documents within the Virtual Mill databases. During the project Pöyry offers the Client a possibility to look at the content of Pöyry engineering database through WebPub. 1.6 Export/Import Export/Import is a solution for exporting and importing data from/to Virtual Mill databases. The application is intended in particular for mass changes, in which data can be processed and transferred to the system with the aid of Excel sheets. Export/Import is effective and fast mass update tool for updating data in Virtual Mill database
