2 Collaborative Effort This effort was made possible through the collaboration efforts of several groups. Finance Real Estate Information Technology (IT) Technical Services Buy in from these groups has been key to the success of the effort.

3 The Problem Finance requires a detailed accounting of all spaces and its usage throughout the terminals for budgeting purposes Rough estimates of space square footage summarized in spreadsheets Information manually compiled by Real Estate Need for Leasable and non-leasable space accounting Historical uses not easily tracked Lacked mobile access

4 The Solution Space management can now be conducted through a web map application containing these features: Access to GIS space layers w/ space information Categorized search tools with accurate square footage values Access to historical use Available on desktop and mobile devices

6 Quick Search This tool allows users to quickly locate spaces by plat number or tenant name. Users simple begin entering a number or name and suggestions are immediately provided.

8 Space Statistics This tool allows users to categorize spaces based on a set of defined criteria. In addition to location and floor, users can distinguish between: Leasable and non-leasable, The space use (e.g. Airline, Concessions, ) The space type (e.g. Airline Exclusive Use, Airline Vacant, )

9 Space Statistics Results Summaries display the square footages by: Space Category Space Use Space Type The data can further be drilled into by clicking on a result header. Map displays a selection of the spaces and tabular information with interactive capabilities Results can be exported to Excel

10 Space Statistics Historical Use The space Statistics tool shows current conditions as well as historical uses. Space data is archived monthly Summaries can be generate for any fiscal year & month Real Estate managers gain insight on square footage fluctuations and have access to a searchable historical record.

13 Challenges and Solutions Space Mapping Challenge Transferring staff knowledge on space uses/occupants Solution Multiple in person meetings were held to obtain first hand knowledge of space characteristics and occupants Utilized hard copy review and markups by BFM staff to ascertain space uses. Site visits required to determine use and occupants
