5 Chesar chemical safety assessment and reporting tool Application developed by ECHA to support registrants to: carry out their chemical safety assessment and generating their chemical safety report generate their exposure scenario for communication in an efficient, standardised and consistent way Information from IUCLID as a starting point consistency Standard workflow and harmonised format Available as a desktop and server version Free of charge 5

6 New in Chesar 3 Supports assessment per assessment entity where more than one set of properties for one substance is needed For example, substance transforms upon use or in the environment Supports the use of use map packages Realistic descriptions of uses and conditions of use from downstream user sectors as input to registrants chemical safety assessment 6

15 New in REACH-IT Improved reporting of reasons for updates New online dossiers REACH member dossiers C&L notification (bulk classification and labelling notification will be discontinued) In development: online inquiry After the release of the new REACH-IT, only dossiers created with IUCLID 6 can be submitted 15

16 Key messages The changes in the IT tools will make registration clearer and easier for new (2018) registrants Adapting to change will require effort from existing registrants, but will raise the bar for dossier quality and provide a level playing field 16
