1 Position Description Senior Systems Administrator Purpose and Scope The Senior Systems Administrator - is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related IT infrastructure to approved IT standards. Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation and improvement within the current infrastructure. Identify technology enabled opportunities and anticipate and inform the business on Infrastructure, Cyber security and relevant emerging technologies. Also participate in the planning, design, development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Salary Range This position is full time (nominally 40 hours per week) and the salary offered will be commensurate with experience. Key Result Areas Key Result Areas or KRAs are the main functional tasks of the role on which your performance will be measured or assessed every six months. System Administration and Support Monitor incident management queues and completeness of outsource service operations and availability of system, server, application, network, applications Assess and maintain appropriate security configuration within infrastructure and deployed applications to protect data and code Apply end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and Support escalations from Service Desk to ensure system availability, performance and integrity so that requests or issues are resolved in timely fashion Any significant incidents or issues requiring greater attention/expertise are escalated appropriately Change management procedures are adhered to, to ensure appropriate approvals and robust and auditable activities

2 storage allocations in accordance with policy and procedures Undertake infrastructure activities through formal project engagement Contribute to software/system deployments and support CAB and release management processes Primary responsibility for maintenance and deployment to production web sites Help maintain IT fixed asset register for warranty, licensing, allocation and software management purposes Business application and system availability meets defined SLAs for availability and incident response and resolution Security-breach remediation plans are executed in a timely fashion should a security event arise Capacity management trends and thresholds are monitored and acted upon to maximize relevant performance and availability Documentation pertaining to current software and hardware asset state is up to date System Administration - Proactive Maintenance Maintain appropriate security configuration (Firewalls, Servers etc.) within infrastructure and deployed applications to protect data and code. Review, recommend and assist in applying changes to backup technology and schedules. Proactively manage system metrics as above for critical self-managed systems. Define end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices. Manage licensing and subscriptions to ensure compliance and availability of systems. Manage Medtech cloud infrastructure and work closely with service providers Support core operations platforms; D365 CRM, SharePoint, O365, Business application and system availability complies with the business users and management. System, data and hardware are appropriately secured. Preventative maintenance is notified and acted upon appropriately. Content of backups are acceptable for system to support recovery. Backups are completed and tested in accordance with Company procedures Capacity management trends and thresholds are monitored. Access levels/methods are only applied for individuals/systems sufficiently to fulfil their role. Licensing documentation is up to date and appropriate licensing is applied by end-user or PC as applicable. Updates or creation of documentation complies with in-force standards including changes to operating

3 Navision, Telephony (3CX), TFS/ALM and related infrastructure. Engaged in review of new opportunities with Sales, Customer Care and Software teams to improve Medtech s cloud services and offering in the market. Key Result Area: ISO/ISMS Processes Ensure all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to Assist with regular review on the ISO & ISMS policies & procedures Assist in Internal Audit & external audit Report any non-conformities Key Result Area: Personal Development Keep up to date on new and relevant software development techniques, technologies and related issues. Apply skills to approved continuous improvement activities. Develop non-technical skills where applicable such as technical writing, communication strategies etc. environment components, configuration and processes. Maintenance of records and 100% compliance of ISMS Currency of relevant certifications and/or knowledge areas. Demonstrates self-development through resources such as TEDtalks, online web training etc. Engage with relevant technology user groups/forums. Broad and practical knowledge of computer operations, operating systems and network communications. Knowledge of Cloud platforms. Customer service, advanced problem solving and analysis skills. Planning and organising. Desirable A science based certificate, diploma, degree or other relevant IT certifications 5 years experience in system administration in a small/ medium enterprise Other Technical skills and experience Build/ rebuild new Servers and storage (physical & virtual) Manage Cloud platforms & Services Write scripts to automate processes Configure network devices (LAN, WAN & WiFi) Remote Access and mobility, including VPN Manage Firewalls and Gateways Troubleshoot technical issues Monitor environment components Assign configuration of authentication and authorisation of directory services Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers
