Project Scope CTS is CTS in NOT Designed for T2 and smaller A little better than spreadsheets Organizations that make parts Not a ERP or QMS or PLM app Not designed for OEMs / T1s with system, subsystem, subassembly, and component worksheets - products and processes are complex 6

Volunteers Wheels, wheel-end components Automotive interior components Variety of spring types, wire form products and assemblies Die cast components Automotive interiors Quality assurance of the automotive electronics at product and process level High performance shock absorbers and racing suspension products 7

Who Should Care? Global PFMEA Manager Automotive Business Unit Manager Quality Administrator Business Development Director Manager Corporate Quality QMS Program Manager Technical Specialist-Safety Director of Global Quality People that have to do this every day (internally and with suppliers) Management that wants reports / analytics Sr. Manager Supplier Quality Senior Solutions Architect Product Quality Assurance Engineer Product Manager Project Manager/Engineering Customer Quality Lead VP Purchasing Quality Quality Assurance Technician Supplier Development Section Leader of Manufacturing Quality Quality Engineer Vehicle Engineering Quality Supervisor, Global Quality Systems 10

Working with Spreadsheets PROS Flexible Easily create customer specific forms Already in use in a lot of companies CONS Spreadsheet Experts needed for creating Spreadsheet tools Most Spreadsheet programming not documented Data can be manipulated by chance Not good at handling to big data Issues with older or newer Spreadsheet versions Not really multi user capable Difficult, if any, user access right management (security) Document management is difficult 11

Working with Databases PROS Data integrity Easy re-use of consistent data Linked data for all core tools Creating input templates Creating various reports Optimized for big data and multi users Fast data access CONS Database experts needed Takes long time and money to develop Application specific app High administration efforts 12

Best of Both Worlds Online available via Internet (Cloud System) from everywhere Help Desk Training Administration included Automatic updates Modular design with upgrades of advanced functions PC and Tablet compatible 13

Past and Future Today you fill out forms Now you can add more value and be more efficient! 14

Working on Sprint #5 Work in process Still looking for input / feedback / comments 15

19 Robust Security

Highlights Form Linkage Flexibility Customizable Templates Spreadsheets Like Screen Layouts Robust Security International, Multi-Lingual Project Management / Task Tracker Intuitive Nature System Search PPAP Submission Process Document Management 20

Flexibility The design strategy was based on I like Spreadsheets, I like the flexibility and ability to customize. Do not force automatic updates on anything! When in doubt, a human decides, not the software. Company preferences are configured and reusable 21

Intuitive Nature One of the issues with using spreadsheet for the PPAP process and associated forms is training. Many people lack strong computer skills and using spreadsheets requires more than simple computer literacy. The CTS application will markedly lessen the training required as compared to Spreadsheets. 22

Spreadsheets Like Screen Layouts Move columns, sort by column, filter by columns, etc. 23

24 Part Linkage is Essential

Use and Reuse Project Library Task Templates CTS View Templates Gage Studies 25

Document Management What is the current version? Who is working on what? How do we show the connections? The auditor is going to find this mess! 26

System Search The ability to search both database and attachments For example, show me bracket This is very difficult when using multiple standalone Spreadsheets 27

28 Project and Part Revisions

Meetings Evidence of a Cross Functional Team (if needed, not required) 29

PPAP Submission Process Flexible PPAP Submission process, including, multiple partial submission, full submissions, and re-submissions. The PPAP Project status includes: Pending, Interim, Approved, and Rejected 30

Reporting and Analytics All the questions people ask you and you cannot quickly get from stand alone Spreadsheets! 31

International, Multi-Lingual Recognizing the global automotive supply chain, several languages will be supported in the application The User Profile defines the preferred language The initial launch is English 32
